It's been a while since the Covid-19 spread the world and we got used to live with it. I decided to share two of my scrapped mask models for a project. I exported the medical mask as a group so you can change the rotation of the cords. The ones on the bottom meant as a pickup items.

Evening River Realistic Environment

A wooden face, carved for an anthropoid coffin, which is prepared with a thin layer of plaster that serves as a ground for its polychrome decoration. The visage is painted with a pink flesh tone, a stylistic hallmark that likely signifies a youthful or divinised state. The almond-shaped eyes are rendered in black and white, while the eyebrows are defined by thick black lines. Sitting low upon the forehead is a portion of a striped headdress, decorated with alternating bands of green and yellow. The reverse side of the object displays five dowel holes used to secure the face to a coffin lid, as well as the word "Thebes" inscribed in white chalk, providing a probable geographic provenance for the piece. While the painted surface has suffered significant flaking and loss, particularly on the left side of the face, the underlying carved features and the pigment of the headdress remain discernible.

Red robot with a rounded cylindrical body bolts and a single circular eye or headlight along with articulated arms and jointed legs that lend it an industrial feel. Presented in three material conditions Rusty Dusty and New the model illustrates the robot s progressive wear over time. The Rusty version has a heavily weathered look with visible rust and scratches the Dusty version shows moderate wear with a slightly faded dusty surface and the New version has a clean polished finish appearing freshly manufactured and unused. These variations effectively highlight different stages of the robot s three conditions are accessible in material the material is customized to switch between the conditions with a single click.

## Scanning
For scanning I placed the USB-stick (which was the donor of the USB plug) on one of my marker geometries. To prevent movement I used some blue tack to prop up the stick. Some of my latest tests actually made me a bit more skeptical about blue tack since it tends to slowly deform when under load so more static mounts are advisable. Currently testing a few geometries for this and will share as soon as I'm satisfied...  
Back to scanning: One rotation of the turntable was made at proper exposure, since the reflective metal of the plug is quite hard to scan, I covered the part in a coat of scan spray. As scan settings I used high resolution with a smoothing value of 20 (provides the best results from my experience).

## Post-Processing
After scanning I simply meshed the scan at highest quality and exported the mesh to Quicksurface where I aligned the scan and isolated the plug.
