Description
Available sizes Large – 1:35 of the actual size | Normal, Hollow & Pre-supported versions Description Attenborosaurus conybeari was a large marine reptile that lived during the Early Jurassic period, around 190 million years ago, in the ancient seas covering what is now England. Originally classified as a species of Plesiosaurus, it was later given its own genus in honor of naturalist Sir David Attenborough. Attenborosaurus possessed a long neck, powerful paddle-like limbs, and sharp teeth suited for catching fish and squid. Measuring about five meters in length, it was an agile swimmer and effective predator. Fossils of this rare plesiosaur have provided valuable insight into the early evolution and diversity of long-necked marine reptiles.
