The WAP-7 is a 6,000 HP, 25 kV AC electric passenger locomotive developed by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for Indian Railways, introduced in 2000. Designed for high-speed, long-distance service (up to 140 km/h, with potential for 160 km/h), it commonly powers prestigious trains like the Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express.
