Location: Mugharet es-Skhul, Wadi el-Mughara, Israel.
Age: 120,000 - 80,000 years B.P.
Material: epoxy resin cast.
Dimensions: length, 218 mm; width, 144 mm; height, 147 mm.
Notes: RLA catalog no. 2501.1rp37-1 (cast). Fossil called Skhul 5, discovered in 1932 by T.D. McCown and H. Movius, Jr., and restored by C.E. Snow. Nearly complete cranium. Cast made by the Wenner-Gren Foundation Casting Program at the University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania. From the teaching collection of the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Model by Greer Taylor.
