The Simon and Mouchel grain silos were built by National Grain Silo Ltd at Kennedy Quay in Cork. The rectangler part(Simon) was built in 10 days in 1964 and the long part(Mouchel) in 1971 both were demolished in 2013. The Simon when it was built was said to be 165ft tall and the bins were said to be 135ft but measurements from images show that it could not be case because of the diameter of the bins were 30ft.
