An incomplete copper alloy zoomorphic probable folding knife handle of Roman dating. Around 50% of the probable folding knife handle is present. The blade is missing. The handle is zoomorphic, representing a probable hound. The hound is lying, outstretched with front legs forward. Paws are marked by horizontal and vertical lines. A horizontal line is present underneath the legs, separating them and probably acting as a rest for the knife blade. The head is triangular, with a horizontal slit for the mouth. A circular pit marks the eye on each side of the head. No ears are visible. The head extends down into a circular sectioned body, thin vertical lines mark fur on the sides of the body.
