Sloths are slow-moving, arboreal mammals native to Central and South American rainforests, known for spending nearly their entire lives hanging upside down, even sleeping up to 20 hours a day. Belonging to the suborder Folivora, they have extremely low metabolisms, slow digestion, and algae-covered fur for camouflage.
