This base, together with a small piece of the body (held in what was considered to be a suitable location), in the archive of Moorlands District Council, who allowed me access for photography, is just part of a collection of fragments of a probable urn. Actual data on its provenance is sketchy and it is not certain whether this is separate from, or part of, the urn held at the Potteries Museum. Comparison of the reconstructed urn with the fragments may help with the ongoing research project.
