Recreation of the Throne of the Abyss Watchers from Dark Souls 3. Completely modeled and textured, this project was a test of my skills in recreating a prop that was used in a fully developed and highly regarded game. This was a bit of a difficult project to begin, as there are very few images of the prop online so I had to source my own reference images through screenshots. I wanted to practice baking a Hi-Poly mesh onto a low-poly mesh, and I believe I succeeded in this attempt. The throne is baked, with 4k textures. The low-poly throne had a total of 576 faces and 1,158 tris. The swords also have a 4k texture, and have a total face count of 7,224 faces and 14,746 tris. The blankets used a cloth sim and were the hardest part of the process. Attempting to get a natural but realistic look on the staircase required much trial and error, particularly with the specific settings of the sim.
