A cousin and abberant subspecie of the Alpha Ripper, the Scorched Ripper is a six-legged version of the crimson xenohyena that roams the remnants of the Eryxian jungle. While most active during the Scorched Season, some individuals survive underground through normal cycles, posing a formidable threat in excavation tunnels, outpost building sites, and to mining drill parties. When the suns of Eryxia reach their zenith and the jungle bursts into flame, most life either flees or perishes. The Scorched Ripper does neither.
