The Primitive Orbital Station is a Kerbal parody of the historical Soviet Almaz and Salyut space station programs. Shown here is a "Cislunar" orbital complex acting as mothership for 2 mini landers and a micro shuttle supporting the Lunar (KSP: Munar) exploration program. The P.O.S. is constructed with parts from Level 1 Research Complex with modules launched using medium lift rockets under 140 tons (i.e., I am too cheap to upgrade the Research Facility with 902,000 funds in a KSP Career game). This station is built around a standard Habitation Module with two LK-0 mini-landers and one X-1A Micro Shuttle attached to facilitate orbital rescue or crew recovery during cislunar (KSP: cismunar) operations. Propulsion for the translunar (KSP: transmunar) injection phase of the mission is provided by the POS-2 Propulsion Module which is discarded on a collision course with the Moon (KSP: Mun). Note: The acronym for this space station is a pun on this being a very small and quite crappy orbital station!
