This sculpture captures a muse in the throes of intense emotion. Kneeling and twisting her body she clutches the cloth at her chest with gripping tension as if trying to contain a storm of passion within. Her face partially veiled is tilted downward and the curve of her neck and bowed head evoke a sense of sorrow and deep introspection.
