The low rear frame is fitted with a ring plate bearing the retrograde inscription ‘+ADONAY+AGLA’ between two pearl-bead border lines. The semi-opaque red carnelian is cut into a faceted shape. Two ring shank fragments have a flat triangular cross-section. Due to the arrangement of the Inscriptions, it might have used as a signet ring. However, the inscription with the popular protective charm AGLA (the Kabbalistic name of God A[tha] G[ibbor] L[e-olam] A[donai]: you are strong in eternity, Lord) ADONAY could be attributed to a magical, again protective motif.
