Fountain basin with Muse Erato in Baden near Vienna. This fountain with the lyre-playing Muse Erato is located on Theaterplatz. The figure from 1902 was designed by Josef Valentin Kassin and stood until 1973 in a flower arrangement in front of the theater. Then followed the transformation into a fountain. Erato is one of the nine muses in Greek mythology. She is the muse of love poetry of lyricism, song and dance. She is a daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne.
