The riding skirt is presented in a historical book Levitanus, Z. (1907), Shkola krojki (School of dress cutting), Published by the author, Riga, p. 87. Outline shapes and construction of “shaped” riding skirts as important part of side-saddle riding habit at the end of XIX – the beginning of XX centuries were explored (for further details see https://www.emeraldinsight.com/doi/full/10.1108/IJCST-12-2017-0192).
