A fibula with a hinge, semicircular spiral cover plate, small bow and long, wide-covered needle channel. The piece of jewellery was made of low-alloy silver. The large fibula consists of a semicircular head plate and a rhombic foot plate, which are connected by a narrow, highly arched bow. At the points where the bar joins the head plate and foot plate, there is a palmette-shaped cover plate on the head plate and a pointed, triangular cover plate on the foot plate, both of which are decorated with gilding and hallmarks. Parts of such a cover plate are also visible on the upper part of the head plate.
