Marine the Raccoon (マリン・ザ・ラクーン Marin za Rakūn?) is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She is an anthropomorphic raccoon and a sailor from Southern Island in the Sol Dimension. When she began her travels, Marine met Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower and Blaze the Cat and joined them on their seafaring search for the Jeweled Scepter, during which she formed everlasting friendships.
