Four backward-looking eagles are arranged on the base plate, alternating with three mountings. Accompanying the eagles is an eyelet attached to the outer edge of the frame, a hole at the pointed end of the frame and an impression of another mounting. The eagles are mounted on round wire loops and positioned at an angle inwards. The sockets for precious stones have a high divergently sloping rear frame and a low, grooved front frame, which is riveted to the base plate.
