In Critical Depth, the Portal Gate rises from the seafloor as an ancient stone arch, weathered and massive, its segmented blocks forming a broken ring supported by two thick pillars. Set into its surface are five oval green lights—one for each pod hidden within the level. As a single player gathers the pods, the lights awaken one by one, glowing brighter against the dark water. When all five shine, the Gate fully activates, its energy stirring within the archway to signal completion. Entering the open ring ends the round instantly, marking total collection and unquestioned control of the battlefield.
