A traditional hat worn by the peoples of Maderia, Portugal. Originally, worn by rural island workers, its use has since shifted in today's enviornment. In a contemporary enviornment, these hats serve as a visual reminder of the islands rich culture and are used in celebration. Processes: Fulling, Felting Materials used: Wool, thread, dye.
