Description
This 3D scan shows the nest of a Yellow-legged Mud-dauber Wasp, *Sceliphron caementarium*. Originally native to North and Central America as well as the Caribbean, this species was introduced to Central Europe in the 20th century and is now commonly found in Eastern Austria. Its nests are often attached to buildings, and occasionally also built inside homes.
The example shown here was discovered in 2021 in Vienna Donaustadt and was donated to the museum.Vienna‑Donaustadt and was donated to the museum.
