Montgomery "Monty" McQueen, better known as Lightning McQueen, is the main protagonist of Pixar's Cars franchise. He is a famous race car who, by accident, involving the Delinquent Road Hazards purposely moving McQueen's hauler, Mack, into the rumble strips in which the resulting turbulence caused one of McQueen's bobbleheads and falling onto the trailer door, leading to McQueen to fall out of the truck. McQueen then ends up stranded until he crashes into a small desert town called Radiator Springs, which would significantly change him as a racer himself. While he was initially hesitant in being at the town itself, ultimately, the more he spends his time there, the humbler he gets with its residents. He is Mater's best friend, Sally Carrera's boyfriend, and Doc Hudson's apprentice turned successor.
