This 3D model presents a photogrammetric reconstruction of the Museum of the City of Bratislava, created as a school project. The model was generated from a series of overlapping photographs processed using photogrammetry software to accurately capture the architectural details, textures, and proportions of the historic building. The Museum of the City of Bratislava is one of the oldest museums in Slovakia, located in the Old Town beneath Michael’s Gate. Its architecture reflects centuries of urban development and preserves important historical elements of the city. The goal of this project was to explore the practical workflow of photogrammetry — from image acquisition and alignment to mesh generation, cleanup, and texture optimization — while maintaining as much authentic surface detail as possible. This scan demonstrates both the strengths and limitations of photogrammetry in real-world conditions, including lighting challenges, occlusions, and complex architectural geometry.
