Description
Modeled from images of a real specimen. The Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) was a large, shaggy-haired relative of modern elephants that inhabited the cold steppe-tundra of the Northern Hemisphere during the Ice Age. It declined due to a combination of climate change at the end of the last glacial period and pressure from human hunting, with small isolated populations surviving into the Holocene. The last known population persisted on Wrangel Island until around 4,000 years ago before going extinct. Base model created with AI tools, then sculpted/edited in Blender for scientific accuracy. Life sized model, roughly 7.5 foot tusks
