The paper explores the concept of letting surgical stuff train in a virtual operating setting.
This is one of several general ORs in the Charité Campus Mitte (CCM), scanned in 2018. Shot with Nikon D3400 (500 images), reconstructed in Metashape, refined in Blender.

I spent a couple of days cleaning and rigging the mesh to be able to animate it. I wanted to do a short looping animation by starting and finishing it with the same initial scan position

The name **Lilith** stems from lilû, lilîtu, and (w)ardat lilî). The Akkadian word lilû is related to the Hebrew word lilit appearing in Isaiah 34:14, which is thought to be a night bird by some modern scholars. In Mesopotamian religion, found in the cuneiform texts of Sumer, Assyria, and Babylonia, lilîtu is a spirit or demon. Many have also connected her to the Mesopotamian demon Lamashtu, who shares similar traits and a similar position in mythology to Lilith.

Robot  (Free to use)

I'm a veteran Maya user. But for my next project I need to know Blender. So this is the first model I made in Blender. I don't know Blender as good as I know Maya of course. So if you ask me what is better, I would say Maya. UV unwrapping is a pain in Blender. Everything about normals is very hard to track. Pivots and snapping is just not as great as in Maya. Any day of the week I would prefer Maya over Blender. That said, I will do a lot more work in Blender for a while. Maybe I'll think different when I understand Blender better. Or maybe not. What I do think, is that Blender is a great tool to start your 3D in.

I made a high(er) polygon version and a super low poly version. I exported them both and did my bakes in Substance (I know I could also have done that in Blender). I textured everything (only 2 UDIMS), what was lots of fun as usual.

Be course Blender is free, and this little project was just for me to learn the software. Will this model also be free for you all! I hope you enjoy it.

Library of Celsus - Crowdsourced model made from 200 photos from several sources public avaible.

The Library of Celsus is an ancient Roman building in Ephesus, Anatolia, now part of Selçuk, Turkey. It was built in honour of the Roman Senator Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus completed between circa 114–117 A.Dby Celsus' son, Gaius Julius Aquila (consul, 110 AD). The library was "one of the most impressive buildings in the Roman Empire" and built to store 12,000 scrolls and to serve as a mausoleum for Celsus, who is buried in a crypt beneath the library in a decorated marble sarcophagus The Library of Celsus was the "third-largest library in the ancient world" behind both Alexandria and Pergamum.

Venom Chibi

An 18th century bronze statue believed to be of the Roman Emperor Trajan (mistakenly referred to as Julius Ceasar by several excited tourists who stopped for a selfie opportunity, and did not read the plaque).  it is situated next to a section of the London Wall near of the Tower Hill underground station. 

Better photography focussing on the whole right arm and left hand would most likely have produced a better end result.


Model was created from 269 photos (probably could of taken more) shot with a Nikon D5300 (using a 18-55mm kit lens) and aligned on High in Agisoft (using medium level dense cloud).

I ususally name my trains after people that I love.  One of them is named “Ready Brek” which was my brother’s nickname from when he was a child. Train Class A4 Union of South Africa

We modeled the brain structure of Tyrannosaurus rex by CT scanning a fossilized braincase (AMNH FR 5117) from the collection of the American Museum of Natural History. We segmented the brain cavity and associated internal structures using Avizo, yielding what's known as a brain endocast. We then cleaned up the model in Maya, tweaked and branded it in Zbrush, and then uploaded it to Sketchfab. Ryan Ridgely did the 3D visualization work, and Witmer and Ridgely published a scientific article on tyrannosaur brain evolution, including this specimen, in 2009 (https://bit.ly/3TuVtqp). An OBJ file can be downloaded here and, if necessary, converted to an STL for 3D printing. Not for commercial use.
