This magnificent armour made [King Erik XIV](https://bit.ly/2XHLbZ0) of Sweden look imposingly triumphant. In true renaissance spirit, the motifs on the armour were borrowed from ancient myths, the characteristics of which lent themselves perfectly to the Swedish history and national symbols of that time.

The armour was probably made in [Arboga](https://bit.ly/2FQKrGy), Sweden, around 1562, from where it was sent to Antwerp in Belgium to be decorated by the goldsmith Elisaeus Libaerts. The opaque gilt ornamentation has been [repousséd](https://bit.ly/2xuxmy0) from the back and chased from the front. 

Perhaps the armour was worn by King Erik XIV on 2 October 1564 when, following a military campaign in [Blekinge](https://bit.ly/2KUVNNQ) in the South of Swedan, he returned to Stockholm with his military entourage. Whilst winding its way through the streets of Stockholm, the procession was showcasing chained prisoners of war from Denmark, a motif that can also be found on the armour.

Titanic Wreck

The [shield](https://goo.gl/mur2Uz) is part of a [suit of armour](https://goo.gl/HiWXTM) that was delivered to the [King](https://goo.gl/9fGJux) in 1562. The whole set was problably made in [Arboga](https://goo.gl/SgXxA1) and then sent to [Antwerp](https://goo.gl/nQdMm8) where it was decorated by the goldsmith Eliseus Libaerts, following drawings by the French artist [Etienne Delaune](https://goo.gl/QqLbuv). To create the relief decor the steel has been [chased](https://goo.gl/FzoAbd), [embossed](https://goo.gl/i8gDzz), [etched](https://goo.gl/mKJri6) and [gilded](https://goo.gl/XSUdps). The motif is inspired by tales from antiquity and depicts [amazons](https://goo.gl/nqvY1j) fighting male warriors. It is probably a battle scene from the [Trojan war](https://goo.gl/LXsTkq). According to the myth the amazons supported [King Priam of Troy](https://goo.gl/QBjvTe) in the war but also lost their queen [Penthesileia](https://goo.gl/YvCSFg) when she was killed by [Achilles](https://goo.gl/TVPqit).

Executioner Speakerman, or simply Executor, is a gigantic Speakerman warrior who debuted in Episode 78, where he commanded the Speakerman armada and demonstrated his powerful abilities. He is a secondary Titan of the Speakerman faction and is visibly smaller than Titan Speakerman. Despite this, he still bears a very forbidding presence in the battlefield.

The helmet was fashioned in southern Germany circa [1540](https://bit.ly/2kdFNLr), and is unusual because it is one of the few surviving helmets adorned with a crown.

It was purchased in [Augsburg](https://bit.ly/2MwwuQc) on the King's behalf by his agent, the merchant Claus Heijder. The helmet was likely used in [Gustav Vasa's](https://bit.ly/2k10R7K) funeral procession in 1560, because a helmet adorned with a gilded crown is mentioned by a contemporary who witnessed the ceremony. The gilded crown is medieval in style – a suitable symbol of Gustav Vasa, who had one foot in the old union and one in the newly minted [hereditary monarchy](https://bit.ly/2kdG7tD).

They live in freshwater wetlands such as marshes and swamps. Apart from this species there is only one other extant *Alligator*: the Chinese alligator (*Alligator sinensis*). 

The American alligator can be found in Hall 28 of the NHM Vienna.

American Alligator (NHMW-ZOO-HS-15682)

The wreck was found by Arkeologikonsult and is located in the city center of Stockholm. In Kungsträdgården. SMTM has helped with the documentation. Its a carvel built ship and has been dated to the late 1590´s. It has most likely been identified as Samson which was built in 1599 in Hälsingland. The ship was an hybrid and build as a cargoship but with 10-20 guns for the Navy. Some features on in the construction on the wreck are unusual but can be seen on the wrecks of Elefanten (1554) and Mars (1563).

Ce sextant, a fait partie de l’armement du *Joshua*, le bateau du célèbre navigateur Bernard Moitessier, « le vagabond des mers du Sud ». Instrument inventé pour la navigation marine, il permet de se localiser en mesurant l'angle entre l'horizon et un objet lointain (clocher, montagne) ou un astre (Soleil, Lune ou étoile). 
Il est composé d'une petite lunette, pour viser l'horizon, de deux miroirs (qui projettent l'image de l'objet visé), d'un bras mobile et d'un arc de cercle gradué sur lequel on lit l’angle formé entre l’objet visé et l’horizon. L'angle d'ouverture est de 60°, d'où le nom de l'instrument.

Raby Castle is a medieval castle located near Staindrop in County Durham, England, among 200 acres (810,000 m2) of deer park. It was built by John Neville, 3rd Baron Neville de Raby, between approximately 1367 and 1390. Cecily Neville, the mother of the Kings Edward IV and Richard III, was born here. After Charles Neville, 6th Earl of Westmorland, led the failed Rising of the North in favour of Mary, Queen of Scots in 1569 Raby Castle was taken into royal custody. Sir Henry Vane the Elder purchased Raby Castle in 1626 and neighbouring Barnard Castle from the Crown, and the Earls of Darlington and Dukes of Cleveland added a Gothic-style entrance hall and octagonal drawing room. Cette statue, ayant appartenue à Pierre Loti, est une copie d’une sculpture japonaise se situant dans le temple de Toji à Kyoto. Elle représente un *Vidyaraga*, l’une des principales divinités du bouddhisme ésotérisme japonais. Leur rôle est de protéger le bouddhisme et de combattre les démons de toutes sortes.

Cette sculpture japonaise est composée de plusieurs pièces de bois polychrome. Elle fut collectée par Pierre Loti lors de son voyage au Japon en 1885. Bien que de facture médiocre, elle témoigne du renouveau de la sculpture bouddhique sous la période Edo (17e -19e siècle).
