Logo: On a dark sky background, 3 rows of words, "20th","CENTURY", and "PICTURES, INC.", apparently carved out of stone and/or metal, are seen. The words are "stacked" on top of each other, with similarly carved lines separating the rows. The "20th" is the biggest row, with "CENTURY" and "PICTURES, INC." a bit smaller. A circular stage-like structure juts out from the base of the "stack," with a light below the structure that shines in front of the "stack". There are pedestals on both sides of the stack, each with a non-moving searchlight. In the background, several searchlights scan the sky. This logo was designed by Emil Kosa, Jr. The logo was created as a painting on several layers of glass and animated frame-by-frame.

Music/Sounds Variants: There were a couple of re-recordings of the fanfare that were different than the later re-recording used in the TCF logo. One of the two was used on 1935's Les Miserables and The Call of the Wild.

In 1929, Hedin travelled to China with the mission to procure a Lamaistic temple to the World Exhibition in Chicago in 1933. An exact model was manufactured at the architect W. H. Liang's workshops in 1932 in Beijing. Two smaller models in scale 1:10 were also made. One of them was sent to Chicago as well. The other was taken to the Ethnographic Museum in Stockholm. 20th Century Pictures (1933-1935) Remake V8

Ford produced three cars between 1932 and 1934: the Model B, the Model 18, and the Model 46. These succeeded the Model A. The Model B had an updated four cylinder and was available from 1932 to 1934. The V8 was available in the Model 18 in 1932, and in the Model 46 in 1933 & 1934. The 18 was the first Ford fitted with the flathead V‑8. The company also replaced the Model AA truck with the Model BB, available with either the four- or eight-cylinder engine..

Ford Model B Pickup (1932)

Paimio Sanatorium is a former tuberculosis sanatorium in Paimio, Southwest Finland, designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. 

Aalto received the design commission having won the architectural competition for the project held in 1929. The building was completed in 1933, and soon after received critical acclaim both in Finland and abroad. 

The building served exclusively as a tuberculosis sanatorium until the early 1960s, when it was converted into a general hospital. Today the building is owned by Turku University Hospital but is not functioning as a hospital; rather, the building has functioned as private rehabilitation center for children since 2014. The sanatorium has been nominated to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Paimio Sanatorium

United States Penitentiary, Alcatraz Island, also known simply as Alcatraz or The Rock, was a maximum security federal prison on Alcatraz Island, 1.25 miles (2.01 km) off the coast of San Francisco, California, United States. The site of a fort since the 1850s, the main prison building was built in 1910–12 as a U.S. Army military prison.

The United States Department of Justice acquired the United States Disciplinary Barracks, Pacific Branch, on Alcatraz on October 12, 1933. The island became adapted and used as a prison of the Federal Bureau of Prisons in August 1934 after the buildings were modernized and security increased. Given this high security and the island's location in the cold waters and strong currents of San Francisco Bay, prison operators believed Alcatraz to be escape-proof and America's most secure prison.

A 3D model of one of my favourite cars of all time. This in my opinion is peak automotive Art-Deco.  Made in Blender. It is not a 1:1 replica, I just eyeballed it from reference photos i could source on Google images.

FLAT-L06D "FLAT" by Syd Mead

The Bosel Mausoleum at Vienna's Central Cemetery is an eight-sided neo-Gothic building with a tent roof and pointed arch arcades crowned with wimperg. The building was erected by the entrepreneur Leopold Bosel (1867-1933). The stonemason was Eduard Hauser.

A weighbridge and associated payment office building on the yard of the old Southern Railway Stables at the north east corner of St James's Road and Catlin Street, Southwark, London.

I believe the weighbridge was used for weighing carts of coal entering or leaving the site.

Date: 1933.

The weighbridge reads: "1933 - TO WEIGH 20 TONS - H. POOLEY & SON LTD - BIRMINGHAM - & LONDON - No S24"

Le Béarn occupe une place à part dans l’histoire de la Marine nationale : longtemps, il restera le seul porte-avions en service, jusqu’en 1945, lorsque le Dixmude passe sous pavillon français. Et l’image que j’avais en tête, celle qui m’a servi de point de départ, c’est le Béarn avant sa grande refonte de 1930-1933, encore dans sa configuration d’origine, avec tout ce qu’elle raconte d’une époque de transition.

C’est précisément ce virage qui m’avait donné envie d’en faire un projet : raconter comment un navire prévu pour une guerre en devient le témoin d’une autre, comment une coque interrompue peut être reprise et changer de rôle. Sauf que, comme ces coques restées à l’état d’ébauche, mon propre travail s’est arrêté en chemin. J’ai commencé avec enthousiasme, j’ai accumulé des idées, des pistes, des brouillons… puis je n’ai jamais vraiment terminé. Et aujourd’hui, ce projet lui ressemble un peu : il est là, plein de promesses, mais encore inachevé.
