The giant isopod (*Bathynomus giganteus*) is a species of aquatic crustacean and a cousin to terrestrial "pill bugs" or "roly polies" that are commonly found under logs. These animals are found in cold waters with a depth between 310 to 2140 meters (1,020–7,020 ft) in the West Atlantic, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. The common snapping turtle (*Chelydra serpentina*) is a large freshwater turtle of the family Chelydridae. Its natural range extends from southeastern Canada, southwest to the edge of the Rocky Mountains, as far east as Nova Scotia and Florida. This turtle species is noted for its combative disposition when out of the water with its powerful beak-like jaws, and highly mobile head and neck (hence the specific name *serpentina*, meaning "snake-like"). This is a shell from the chambered nautilus (*Nautilus pompilius*), known also as the pearly nautilus. The chambered nautilus can be found throughout the Pacific Ocean and inhabits shelf and slope waters near coral reefs with depths up to 750 meters. The shell of the nautilus shows countershading--where the bottom of the shell is light and the top is dark. This is a type of camouflauge that is effective at helping the nautilus blend in with the sea.

Filamentous Horse Conch

The grey fox (*Urocyon cinereoargenteus*) is an omnivorous mammal of the family *Canidae*, widespread throughout North America and Central America. Jackson's Chameleon

This is the skull of *Platalea* sp., a genus of long-legged wading birds with 6 species found on every continent except Antartica. They feed by sweeping the wide, flat end of their bills partly open through the water to pick up crustaceans or insects. The *Hexaplex cichoreum*, commonly known as the "endive murex", is a medium sized species of sea snail in the family Muricidae (the murex shells or rock snails). These sea snails can only be found in the West Pacific, more specifically the regions of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines. Endive murex shells are generally a white color banded with a darker brown, however, there is also an all-white variety (var. albicans) that can be found in the Philippines.
