**Description**
Devil's Slide was the location of a military triangulation station and observation site used during World War II as part of the harbor defense of San Francisco. This wooden statue was made around 1900, on the Andeman and Nicobar Islands, near India. It was known as a kareau, or ’scare-devil’. Religious ritual healers made the statues, which the islanders believed had magical protective powers.

This is the common predator to the anemone deer, as it uses the lure within its mouth to attract unsuspecting prey. Many scholars mistake the lure for it's tongue but it is actually a seperate appendage used specifically for hunting and mating purposes.

Here is number eight in my animal anatomy exploration project. I had dinosaur on the brain, and thought it was necessary to do a bipedal one. I also added some angler fish motif to it.
