Deathwing

A collection of city buildings originally created for a personal project. Includes buildings based on real prototypes, and simple fictional ones. You will most likely recognize some architectural landmarks of New York and Chicago, adjusted for a simplified look. The exception is the waffle-shaped building, based on a typical municipal building of the American Southwest. The materials are repeated here and there, but you can live with that. This variety should be enough to create a believable background of the urban environment similar to American cities of the Rust Belt.

I unconditionally give you permission to use this model at your discretion, modify it or implement it into a digital product. Use the model as you see fit and have a nice day.

Downtown Buildings Set - Low Poly model

Qumran is an archaeological site in the West Bank managed by Israel's Qumran National Park. It is located on a dry plateau about 1.5 km (1 mi) from the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea, near the Israeli settlement and kibbutz of Kalya. The Hellenistic period settlement was constructed during the reign of John Hyrcanus, 134–104 BCE or somewhat later, and was occupied most of the time until it was destroyed by the Romans in 68 CE or shortly after. It is best known as the settlement nearest to the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden, caves in the sheer desert cliffs and beneath, in the marl terrace. The principal excavations at Qumran were conducted by Roland de Vaux in the 1950s, though several later unearthings at the site have since been carried out.

Photogrammetry capture of Southwark Borough Control bunker under the community plot at the corner of Vestry Road and Peckham Road, London.

These borough control centres were built during the cold war as a place to continue local government during an attack. Few survive in London today so this is a rare 3D record of one such bunker although it is in very poor condition, with flooding throughout.

Stránská skála (often without diacritics as Stranska skala) is a hill and refers to a Mid-Pleistocene-Cromerian interglacial most important paleontological site in Central Europe.  Its northwestern slope is composed from karstified limestone cliffs in which numerous fossiliferous fissures and caves were found. Approximately 48 meter (157 ft) of this slope are covered by complex talus fan.

Rhyolite is a ghost town in Nye County, in the U.S. state of Nevada. It is in the Bullfrog Hills, about 120 miles (190 km) northwest of Las Vegas, near the eastern edge of Death Valley. The town began in early 1905 as one of several mining camps that sprang up after a prospecting discovery in the surrounding hills. During an ensuing gold rush, thousands of gold-seekers, developers, miners and service providers flocked to the Bullfrog Mining District. The Ghost Leviathan is a 107 meter long leviathsn class organism that is found around both the crater's edge and the Lost River of 4546B. The lost river ghost leviathsns are actualle juvenile, and are about the size of a Reaper Leviathan, or a Cyclops class Submarine. The Ghost leviathans actually have eggs, that can only be seen growing pn the Giant Cove Tree, as the eggs were laid when the tree was young, and the eggs are so old that the tree grew vary large around these egs. The ghost leviathan has a large hammer head in order to do heavy hitting ram attacks on its prey or its hiding spots, revealing them. It swims in a strange circular motion, alowing it to be really fast. It will eat ghost rays, river prowlers, and other small creatures in the lost river to grow, however, when thwy are fully grown, they move to the crater edge and feed off of microorganisms. They only attack there due to the edge being their territory.

It has been a legally protected Scheduled Ancient Monument since 1882 when legislation to protect historic monuments was first successfully introduced in Britain. The site and its surroundings were added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 1986. Stonehenge is owned by the Crown and managed by English Heritage; the surrounding land is owned by the National Trust

The neon LED sign is acting as an animated texture.  The texture isn't actually animated, but rather it is cycling through several textures and putting the live one in front of the others at the right time.  The frame is just a low-poly blackish material so to be game-ready.

If you are using this for a game, probably just pick one of the textures if you don't want to animate it.

Music is synthwave generated in FL Studio 12.

*Strix varia*, or the barred owl, can be commonly found in dense forests and wooded swamps in southwestern Canada, Washington, Oregon and northern California. The barred owl is, on average 48-51 cm tall, and has a rounded-head with grey-white facial disc. Where many owls have ear tufts, the barred owl does not.

The small serrations on an owl’s primary feathers creates small vortices reducing noise from wind drag to near zero. The silent flight of owls inspired the biomimetic solution to wind noise caused by the Shinkansen Bullet Train as it travels near 350km/h. These serrations also inspired the redesign of  Ziehl-Abegg, Inc’s fan blades, reducing noise and improving energy efficiency. This is a 3D scan of a cockroach I bought on etsy. It's part of a larger project where I combined 3D modeled assets with photogrammetry (see http://whatswrongwithwhite.tumblr.com/image/177884973392 ). I used a lot of custom photo equipment (macro lens, polarization filters, extension tubes and a 3D printed cockroach holder from shapeways). For cleanup I used blender (cleaning up holes, chopping up into body parts, modeling deatils). For the final material design and export Substance Painter did a great job.

Cockroach (3D photogrammetry scan)

One of the few remaining relics from the Royal Surrey Zoological Gardens which used to exist just off Walworth Road in London between 1831 and 1872.

The tiger may have been one of the animals visited by Queen Victoria during her 1838 visit.
