Nick Jr. Channel is historically associated with Nickelodeon. He also broadcasts programs for children, but his target audience is the smallest viewers. Interactive educational cartoons are broadcast, with special attention paid to developmental activities. Colorful characters teach boys and girls how to count, write, read, distinguish colors and interact with the world around them. And funny stories and a simple form of presenting the material do not let you get bored in the learning process.

Homo Habilis

This prosthetic arm was made in 1904 for a professional pianist – a woman called Elizabeth Burton. The prosthetic arm had padded fingers and a wide span, features that enabled her to keep playing the piano, so that she could still make a living for her family.

Notes: RLA catalog no. 2501.1rp74 (cast).  Fossil discovered in 1959 by Mary Leakey and described by P. Tobias.  Represented the first reliable chronometric assessment of an early hominid.  Nearly complete cranium, called "Zinj."  Cast made by the Wenner-Gren Foundation Casting Program at the University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania. Lost during the Japanese occupation in 1941.  Cast made by the University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania. Homo sapiens (Upper Cave, Zhoukoudian)(1979rp44)

This is a wooden acupuncture model made in Japan in 1681. It was probably used to train students of acupuncture, a part of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In acupuncture, practitioners insert fine needles into the skin of a patient, at precise positions called acupuncture points. The model shows these points, marked with Japanese characters, along lines called meridians, which are also shown on the model.

Acupuncture model

Model of a human brain, sectioned, French, first half 19th century.

The model shows a sectioned human brain made from papier mâché. The parts can be removed to show the internal structure of the brain. Each is labelled with a number and some of the parts have the name of the section printed in French. This model was used as an aid to teach anatomy.

**Architecture and design:** 3D Eiffel Tower models can be used by architects and designers to plan and visualize renovations and additions to the Eiffel Tower. For example, 3D models were used to design the new glass floors that were installed on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower in 2019.
**Engineering**: 3D Eiffel Tower models can be used by engineers to analyze the structural integrity of the Eiffel Tower and to identify potential maintenance issues. For example, 3D models were used to assess the damage caused to the Eiffel Tower by a storm in 2018.
**Education:** 3D Eiffel Tower models can be used to teach students about the history, architecture, and engineering of the Eiffel Tower. For example, students can use 3D models to explore the different parts of the Eiffel Tower and how they work together.

Australopithecus africanus (2501.1rp40)

Digital replica of a neck vertebra from a dog (*Canis lupus familiaris*). This is the seventh vertebra in the vertebral column when counting down from the head and is also identified as C7, the seventh cervical vertebra.

The 3D Dog Bone Project is a collaboration between the Institute of Vet, Animal & Biomedical Sciences and the Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences at Massey University, New Zealand.
This model is a high-fidelity 3D scan and is suitable for use as an anatomically-accurate teaching resource. 3D scan data were collected using an SLS-2 structured light scanner (DAVID Vision Systems) and data were processed to create a model with 0.2 mm resolution. This model can be downloaded and 3D printed.
