The Borchardt C-93 (Construktion 93) pistol was designed by Hugo Borchardt (1844–1921) in 1893. Ludwig Loewe & Company of Berlin, Germany, a manufacturer of machine tools, produced the C-93, a semi-automatic pistol that he had invented based upon the Maxim toggle-bolt design. Borchardt also developed the high-velocity bottlenecked 7.65×25mm Borchardt cartridge for the C-93. Borchardt's assistant at the time, Georg Luger, also claimed to have influenced its design. With over 3,000 manufactured by Loewe and Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, Borchardt C-93 was the first mass-produced semi-automatic pistol.

Vase with a procession of 9 characters. The main character is carried in a hammock or palanquin on the shoulders of 2 porters. Under the hammock walks a dog. None of them is armed and all wear wide-brimmed hats, which could identify them as merchants. The rest of the 6 companions are probably his assistants. Whoever follows the rear-guard porter walks with the help of a cane carrying a bundle lined with jaguar skin on his back. The one behind him carries what appears to be a long trumpet decorated with ribbons and a round fan. The remaining 4 characters carry what could be banners. They all wear hipcloths painted red and only the main carácter -and the one with the body painted black- wear hats with an animal head on top.

My cute robot for the #CuteRobotChallenge is an evolution of today's home assistants.

Cute Home Robot

Polychrome cylindrical vase (red, black and pink on cream), with a curved converging wall and a flat base. The surface is decorated with a scene with five (5) characters, of which two (2) stand out, richly attired, who seem to be talking to each other. Above them is a small text with glyphs painted in pink, a characteristic of the ceramics produced in the Ik polity or Motul de San José in Lake Petén Itzá.

The largest collection of public internet censorship data ever compiled shows that even citizens of the world’s freest countries are not safe from internet censorship. This visualization shows a select group of countries and their trends of internet censorship. The data is based off of Censored Planet, an automated censorship tracking system launched in 2018 by University of Michigan assistant professor of electrical engineering and computer science Roya Ensafi. The project has collected more than 21 billion measurements over 20 months in 221 countries.
