*Wiwaxia* had a tiny body covered in overlapping defensive **sclerites**. The hidden, lower surface consisted of a muscular foot and mouthparts for scraping food, like algae, off the sea floor. Wiwixia would have crawled slowly over the sea floor in search of food, as many similar molluscs do today.

Back with another one of my NPR journey milestones.

This is the Character of the Monk class from a rather obscure dungeon crawler game series called "Etrian odyssey" I really love the art style of the Character sprite so I decided to attempt to imitate its art style.

This model took me the longest to make yet, simply because I have to learn a lot of new stuff this time and the rigging is more detailed (I used rigify). I also tried to lower my polygon count as much as I can while still making the character looks good and ended up with around 20k polygon (around 10k if no outline) big improvement from 70k+ I had before.

Colette Brawl Stars

This Stegosaurus skeleton from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is more than 26 feet long and over nine feet tall. The bony beast is a permanent display with steel shaped around it, welded in place, and puttied together, making it impossible to take apart. Which means it was super difficult to scan! Triebold Paleontology, Inc. scanned the dinosaur using Artec Space Spider and Artec Studio software. The scanning involved crawling into the rib cage, then perching atop a step ladder just to reach the peaks of the big fan-shaped plates on the dinosaur’s back. The scanner captured everything from the nose to the tail spikes. Beyond aligning the scans, Artec Studio also reduced the mesh size to the desired level for manipulating the 3D model and 3D printing. Scanning time: 1 week - Processing time: 2 months (629 individual scans across 71 scan projects).

Anime-Hair

The lower levels of a sprawling metropolis. Government issue housing pods left to rot, festering local crime syndicates. 'Armpit City' is such a slum, owned by the Pharmacists' Union crime syndicate, their influence running deep, trashing and destroying business rivels to those who act on their will. To those servants, power flows readily. Power, however, always comes at a price.

Sci-Fi Alien City

The Sandcrawler beast - including interior!

Image maps are are of lower quality (upload limitiations) compared to the crawler without interiors (see catalog), but the quality is OK for my need (still renders).

Added a cockpit, workshop, a smelter/furnace/forge, repair room, storage room, living quarters, metal grinders, overhead cranes, magnets, conveyor belts, and what not. I haven't really seen the inside of any crawler so I had to guesswork a ton. The sections on the inside are just facades with nothing inside of them. Just meant to be seen from the outside. Living quarters are placed at the top floor on both sides (short walk to the cockpit).

<i>Onychodictyon</i> has a cylindrical body covered in finger-like **papillae** and two rows of oval-shaped **sclerites**, with pairs of soft legs ending in claws. It shared these features with modern onychophorans (velvet worms) and tardigrades (water bears). Onychodictyon was probably a predator that crawled across the sea floor, using its sturdy curved grasping claws to capture prey and climb over objects. The sclerites on its back may have helped to defend against larger predators.

Onychodictyon ferox

The Baby is a large creature resembling a hideous distortion of a human fetus. It has swollen black eyes, a gaping, toothless mouth and a slimy red body with slightly underdeveloped limbs. Its waist appears to be inverted, leaving its legs pushing backwards as it crawls forward on its hands; the result is a grasshopper-like profile. Its stomach has a large flap of loose flesh that trails behind it like a short, limp tail, leaving bloody streaks in its wake.

RE8 Baby Rig

Built in 1898 on [Foula](http://tinyurl.com/y6hgdtlb), one of the most remote islands in the Shetland archipelago, this traditional fishing vessel (known in the Shetland as a 'fourareen') was made from pieces of driftwood. 

The crofter who built "Venus" used boat building techniques that had been passed down from generation to genaration and were similar to those used by Vikings on their Longboats.
"Venus" would have been used by the crofter to catch fish and  collect flotsam and jetsam from the sea.

In 1964 it was bought by Paul Earling Johnstone who gave it a deck and tiny cabin and a Bermudan yawl rig, converting it into a yacht. He used it for long distance ocean sailing (including a single-handed trip across the Atlantic in 1965) and it remained in storage in Savannah until 1982, when it became part of the collections of the [Scottish Maritime Museum.](http://www.scottishmaritimemuseum.org/)

Cabin On The Edge

Each of the eight episodic Star Wars films begin with nearly identical openings, in which the text "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...." is displayed, followed by the Star Wars logo over a field of stars. A subsequent downward tilt reveals the film's episode number, the subtitle in all-capital letters, and a three-paragraph summary of events immediately prior to the events of the film.

Star Wars New Hope Opening Crawl (Animation)

*hopeless creature formed from a mass of barbed wire.* It is possible to delete the bundle of barbed wire and be left with a full character. A high amount of barbs is achieved through instancing (in the .blend) and the wire itself is uv-unwrapped so that one shell is equal to one twist. 
• The **.fbx** is UV unwrapped to fit a tileable bloody-metal texture (included). 
•The **.blend** Down to 451,084 verts because the individual barbs are instanced to save memory. (see image below). Includes a procedural material and simple lighting/camera setup.

Had fun trying out the full process with this character and I am excited to be able to publish it :).
