Qumran is an archaeological site in the West Bank managed by Israel's Qumran National Park. It is located on a dry plateau about 1.5 km (1 mi) from the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea, near the Israeli settlement and kibbutz of Kalya. The Hellenistic period settlement was constructed during the reign of John Hyrcanus, 134–104 BCE or somewhat later, and was occupied most of the time until it was destroyed by the Romans in 68 CE or shortly after. It is best known as the settlement nearest to the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden, caves in the sheer desert cliffs and beneath, in the marl terrace. The principal excavations at Qumran were conducted by Roland de Vaux in the 1950s, though several later unearthings at the site have since been carried out.

The Holy Lavra of Saint Sabbas the Sanctified, known in Arabic as Mar Saba  is an Eastern Orthodox Christian monastery overlooking the Kidron Valley at a point halfway between the Old City of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, within the Bethlehem Governorate of the West Bank.
The traditional date for the founding of the monastery by Sabbas the Sanctified of Mutalaska, Cappadocia is the year 483. Today, the complex houses around 20 monks. It is considered to be one of the oldest inhabited monasteries in the world, and still maintains many of its ancient traditions. One in particular is the restriction on women entering the main compound. The only building that women can enter is the Women's Tower, near the main entrance.

Hatsune Miku (Japanese: 初音ミク), also called Miku Hatsune, is a Japanese Vocaloid software voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media and its official moe anthropomorphism, a 16-year-old girl with long, turquoise twintails. Miku's personification has been marketed as a virtual idol and has performed at live concerts onstage as an animated projection (rear cast projection on a specially coated glass screen).

This large eagle once stood atop the old First National Bank in downtown Sioux Falls. When the building was demolished during urban renewal, this eagle and a pair of bas-relief panels of Native Americans were salvaged. They are all at street level at the west entrance to the current bank.

The eagle is carved from Indiana limestone, in the Art Deco style, and dates from about 1929. It has stylistic simularities to other eagles carved from the same limestone. Possibly it was based on a modified generic pattern used repeatedly for various architectural sculptures.

This eagle is a beloved local landmark on Phillips Avenue, in downtown Sioux Falls, SD.

The Louvre or the Louvre Museum is a national art museum in Paris, France. It is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the city's 1st arrondissement (district or ward) and home to some of the most canonical works of Western art, including the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. The museum is housed in the Louvre Palace, originally built in the late 12th to 13th century under Philip II. Remnants of the Medieval Louvre fortress are visible in the basement of the museum. Due to urban expansion, the fortress eventually lost its defensive function, and in 1546 Francis I converted it into the primary residence of the French Kings.

The **Taj Mahal** is an ivory white marble mausoleum on the right bank of the river Yamuna in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India.

*SY Carola* is possibly the oldest seagoing steam yacht in the world. It was built in 1898 by Scott & Sons of Bowling at their shipyard on the north banks of the River Clyde. At 70ft in length, *Carola* is of steel construction with teak decking and deckhouse, and now has two masts. 

Built for personal use by the shipbuilder’s family, *Carola* was used as a yacht during the summer months and when not being used for pleasure by the family, it would take groups of senior yard staff on Clyde cruises. In winter it would have served as a tender and tug at the shipyard.

By 1964 it was sold to a private owner, before being purchased in 1981 by a Sussex firm and used for corporate hospitality. 

*Carola* became a part of the Scottish Maritime Museum’s collection in 1994.

Charles “Buck” Lynch founded the company in 1924, moved to this location in 1929, lost the company to bankruptcy during the Great Depression and managed to buy it back at auction. Today, the fourth generation of the Lynch family operates the company at one of the last remaining industrial sites along Key Highway.
General Ship has repaired a variety of vessels through the years, including schooners, steamships, paddle wheelers, and supertankers. Workers perform maintenance work on ships in dry docks at this site in addition to sending crews out to other facilities. As of 2020 the facility, which includes a 17,300 square foot shed and two 1000-ton floating docks, repairs mostly workboats."
