Ice Bear (We Bare Bears)

Yunnan Province, China, ~518 million years old.

<i>Onychodictyon</i> has a cylindrical body covered in finger-like **papillae** and two rows of oval-shaped **sclerites**, with pairs of soft legs ending in claws. It shared these features with modern onychophorans (velvet worms) and tardigrades (water bears). Onychodictyon was probably a predator that crawled across the sea floor, using its sturdy curved grasping claws to capture prey and climb over objects. The sclerites on its back may have helped to defend against larger predators.

**A 3D model of an eighteenth-century bronze sculpture created by Pius Weloński (1849–1931).**

This figurative, whole-body sculpture depicts a Roman gladiator with an upraised arm. The pedestal bears the following inscription: Ave Caesar! Morituri, salutant [Long live Caesar! Those who are going to die greet you]. The gladiator is – judging by his props – most likely a retiarius [net-fighter]. He fought with a trident or harpoon made of tuna bones, a dagger, and a net that he threw at his opponent’s head.

Santorini Thera is an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 120 mi southeast from the Greek mainland. It's the largest island of a small, circular archipelago, which bears the same name and is the remnant of a volcanic caldera. Santorini includes the inhabited islands of Santorini and Therasia, as well as the uninhabited islands of Nea Kameni, Palaia Kameni, Aspronisi and Christiana. The total land area is 34.990 sq mi

The island was the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history: the Minoan eruption (sometimes called the Thera eruption), which occurred about 3,600 years ago at the height of the Minoan civilization. The eruption left a large caldera surrounded by volcanic ash deposits hundreds of metres deep. It may have led indirectly to the collapse of the Minoan civilization on the island of Crete, 68 mi to the south, through a gigantic tsunami.  The Thera eruption may be the source of the legend of Atlantis.

His lower right hand grasps a broken tusk, while his upper right hand holds a rosary topped with a pomegranate, a symbol of abundance. In his upper left hand, he displays a battle-axe used to counter evil. Ganesha images often decorated the principal niche in the western wall of a Shiva temple.'*

Cute Tenderheart Bear bear family

This is a sword in a stone, possibly inspired by Clarent, although visually it bears no relation to historical swords. It's a small implementation of a concept I found in a Pinterest image. I wanted to work with light and rays; it's quite an interesting direction.
