This is an animation of an adult female **Great Hammerhead Shark** (Sphyrna mokarran) that was reconstructed from multiple cameras arranged around a dive in South Bimini, Bahamas in February 2020.  Casey Sapp coordinated all videography.  Kevin Davidson kindly contributed useful reference photos.

CG artist **Jer Bot** used the software Blender to align these camera views to reconstruct the accurate shape and color of **Nemesis** (PIT tag 900236000107365), which had an estimated length of 329 cm based on laser photogrammetry.  Nemesis commonly frequents dive spots near Bimini and is well-known to divers and scientists from the Bimini shark lab (www.biminisharklab.com).

The **ANGARI Foundation** (www.angari.org) coordinated and supported this research, along with Sean Williams, Ken Morton, Jonathan and Jameson Bayuk, Annabelle Brooks, and Vital Heim.

Arachne was once a mortal weaver of unparalleled skill, but she became prideful and arrogant from all the praise she received for her work. She later challenged Athena to a contest to see who was truly the best weaver. Though there were different variations of the story of the contest, there was one similarity shared by all: Athena ended up transforming Arachne into the first spider and made her immortal. She then became the Goddess of challenge, spiders, and weaving. Hence, Arachne's name came to mean "spider" in Greek.

2017 Mini John Cooper Works GP Concept (F56)

The Nepomuk Chapel in Mauerbach is a small Baroque structure from the early 18th century and was built around 1722. It is one of the typical open canopy chapels erected in honor of Saint John of Nepomuk, an important patron saint of bridges and water. The chapel is open on all sides through round-arched openings and is supported by pillars, giving it a pavilion-like character. Inside stands a statue of the saint, who is venerated as a martyr and patron saint against water-related dangers.

A surrounding balustrade delineates the sacred space and is adorned with decorative putto figures, which, as cherubim, symbolize the heavenly sphere. The chapel is a typical example of Baroque popular piety and remains a culturally and historically significant monument to this day.

This is a millimeter-accurate LiDAR point cloud of the historic CSI Cathedral located in Calicut (Kozhikode), Kerala, India. Captured using a Leica BLK360 terrestrial laser scanner, this model is the result of over 70 individual interior and exterior scans. The cherub heads on the balustrade of the Nepomuk Chapel in Mauerbach are sculpted decorative elements mounted on a spherical base, featuring several angel heads arranged in a circle, each with childlike facial features and stylized hair. This so-called putto or cherubim depiction is typical of the Baroque style and symbolizes the heavenly sphere as well as the depicted saint’s closeness to the divine. The spherical form on which the heads are arranged reinforces the impression of a cloud-like mass, a motif frequently used in Baroque art to represent the heavens. As part of the balustrade, these finials simultaneously mark the boundary between the secular exterior and the sacred interior of the chapel, thereby contributing both to the decorative design and to the symbolic significance of the structure.
