Main study areas:

* 3d modelling of middle-complexity hardsurface object (bycicle), 
* texturing process (substance painter) and texture baking, 
* particles distribution (blender), 
* creating trees of a custom shape with prcedural workflow (built-in sappling addon) and creating planar foliage for tree (branches with leafs) 
* and overall environment setup for a small scene.

Main assets:

* Bycicle (4k x 4)- may be used as a background asset (a bit clunky geometry. Was reusing geometry from my old beginner's project)
* Bench, lantern, bin, package, tree (varies 4k-2k) - quality varies, can be used as a backround assets.
* Street elements, such as road, pavement and etc are hardly reusable..

Sidewalk

A collection of lowpoly (1500 triangles each) birds, reprocessed in blender from Sketchfab 3D scans and models (have a look at my [other similar assets](https://skfb.ly/6AQyA), or at [this blog post](https://blog.sketchfab.com/tutorial-low-poly-assets-from-3d-scans) to know more about the process I used).

Not all of them turned out as I had hoped (because of poor original meshes), and I had to cut some birds legs not to spend too much time removing the supports (branches, rocks...), but I'm still quite happy with the result.

A .fbx as well as a .blend are available in the archive, along with a "credits" file in which you will find all the links to the original models. Most of the original assets come from [darwinmuseum.ru](https://sketchfab.com/darwinmuseum.ru) and [Innovation Studio](https://sketchfab.com/cmp_innovation_studio) though, so thanks to them!

I always liked dead fantasy style oak trees so I decided to make little set. These can be used for both game and as far object for VFX.

Today, there are over 20 branches across the city of Baltimore, including several mobile libraries. Built in 1916, Branch No. 18 is located in the Clifton community. While normally open, the library is currently closed for building maintenance.

A stylized willow tree sculpt created as part of an environment study, focusing on capturing the iconic flowing silhouette and organic elegance of a willow. The design emphasizes long, draping forms and soft, curved shapes to create a sense of movement and calm within a scene.

The sculpt explores a balance between simplified structure and expressive detail, with the trunk and branches shaped to feel natural yet slightly exaggerated for readability. The hanging foliage is designed to frame surrounding elements, making the tree a strong atmospheric piece in any environment.

Subtle asymmetry and variation were introduced to avoid repetition and give the tree a more organic, lived-in feel while maintaining a cohesive stylized look.

Willow Tree

I built fully parametric branches using Blender Geometry Nodes.
The hierarchy between branches is determined by their positions in the texture maps, so the positioning parameters in the Geometry Node setup will differ for different textures. Achieving consistent shapes across different LODs is particularly difficult, yet quite challenging. Later, I will use this same method to create various trees from these branches and build my own plant library.

A massive corrupted tree giant rising like an ancient guardian of a cursed forest. Its body is formed from twisted roots, broken branches, and thick bark armor, creating a powerful and intimidating silhouette. Long root-like legs support the creature while giant branch arms end in sharp wooden claws. Glowing green energy flows through cracks in the bark, giving the ent a magical and corrupted nature power. Vines and thorny plants grow across its body, and a carved wooden face with glowing eyes emerges from the hollow trunk.
