This is an animation of an adult female **Great Hammerhead Shark** (Sphyrna mokarran) that was reconstructed from multiple cameras arranged around a dive in South Bimini, Bahamas in February 2020.  Casey Sapp coordinated all videography.  Kevin Davidson kindly contributed useful reference photos.

CG artist **Jer Bot** used the software Blender to align these camera views to reconstruct the accurate shape and color of **Nemesis** (PIT tag 900236000107365), which had an estimated length of 329 cm based on laser photogrammetry.  Nemesis commonly frequents dive spots near Bimini and is well-known to divers and scientists from the Bimini shark lab (www.biminisharklab.com).

The **ANGARI Foundation** (www.angari.org) coordinated and supported this research, along with Sean Williams, Ken Morton, Jonathan and Jameson Bayuk, Annabelle Brooks, and Vital Heim.

Rocca Calascio is a mountaintop fortress or rocca in the Province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo, Italy.
Built of stone and masonry exclusively for military purposes and intended only to accommodate troops and never as residence for nobles, the fortress overlooks the Plain of Navelli at one of the highest points in the ancient Barony of Carapelle.

Construction of the fortress started in the tenth century as a single watchtower. A walled courtyard with four cylindrical towers at the corners around a taller inner tower was added in the thirteenth century. The lower half of the fortress is built with distinctively larger stones than its upper half. It is believed that this feature was to make its base impenetrable to invaders. The fortress was never tested in battle. However, it was badly damaged in November 1461 by an earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 7 to 8 on the Richter Scale.

The Holy Lavra of Saint Sabbas the Sanctified, known in Arabic as Mar Saba  is an Eastern Orthodox Christian monastery overlooking the Kidron Valley at a point halfway between the Old City of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, within the Bethlehem Governorate of the West Bank.
The traditional date for the founding of the monastery by Sabbas the Sanctified of Mutalaska, Cappadocia is the year 483. Today, the complex houses around 20 monks. It is considered to be one of the oldest inhabited monasteries in the world, and still maintains many of its ancient traditions. One in particular is the restriction on women entering the main compound. The only building that women can enter is the Women's Tower, near the main entrance.

This prison facility in Mekit county, Kashgar was newly constructed following the crackdown in 2017. It has been constructed next to two lower security camps. 
This model is based satellite imagery taken in March 2020. Which showed it to be active considerably after announcements by Xinjiang officials that all detainees had been released.

**Logo**: It's a redone and more realistic version of the 1994 tower. This time, it is in a dark/orange evening environment. When the structure is in its distance, we can see an extra searchlight and a pair of palm trees on the bottom right hand corner. This structure, like the 1994 structure, also looks similar to the 3rd logo.


**FX/SFX**: Extraordinary CGI. This was designed by Chris Wedge, Carlos Saldanha, and Steve Martino, and was animated at the now-defunct Blue Sky Studios, 20th Century's sibling company and creator of Ice Age and Robot.

This re-education center in Kashgar city, Kashgar was initially constructed as a school. In 2017 as the crackdown began it was converted into a large scale re-education facilitity. 
It has been heavily featured in propaganda efforts after it was sanitised in late 2018/early 2019. 
Recently, it has been completely desecuritised and satellite imagery suggests that it potentially being decomissioned.

Devil's Slide was the location of a military triangulation station and observation site used during World War II as part of the harbor defense of San Francisco. Prior to the advent of radar, military personnel used binoculars and compasses to search for ships at sea and relay their coordinates to a central post. By combining information from multiple observation posts, a ship's precise location could be determined by triangulation. There were six military structures at the Devil's Slide: three concrete and steel observation pill-boxes, two concrete and earth bunkers, and a reinforced steel observation tower. This is a high security detention centre in Onsu (Wensu) county, Aksu prefecture, in Xinjiang. It was constructed throughout 2018, following the crackdown in 2017, and showed the construction of two new five storey residential buildings in August 2019. This highlights the way in which the camp has shown continued expansion in recent years. 
The detention centre is co-located with a separate detention centre and a maximum security prison.

Onsu Facility #1 Tier 3 Detention Centre

This is an animation of subadult male Whale Shark (Individual TZ 209, "Mosi" Rhincodon typus) that was reconstructed from gopro footage based on dives with the shark nearby Mafia Island, Tanzania in November 2022. We thank Chris Rohner and Stephanie Venables for diving with us, and for providing footage and for generally supporting the work.

CG artists Johnson Martin and Aaron Olsen used the software Blender to align various gopro camera views to reconstruc thte body shape of this individual.  "Mosi" has been filmed previously along the Mafia coastline and is well known to divers there.

The Marine Megafauna Foundation (https://marinemegafauna.org/) coordinated and supported this research, and Jon Bayuk kindly supported funded construction of the model and other costs.
