This is the Picture Gallery located on the top floor of the [Hallwyl Museum](http://hallwylskamuseet.se/en) in Stockholm, Sweden.

Countess Wilhelmina von Hallwyl was a keen collector of Dutch and Flemish artworks of the Golden Age.

 
The diversity of artists and motifs is representative of the Hallwyl House Collection of Dutch and Flemish masters. The collection constitutes a kind of encyclopedia of the [Golden Age of Dutch Art](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_Golden_Age_painting).

"See For Yourself" was the catchphrase of the Golden Age.

The Picture Gallery

This is an animation of an adult female **Great Hammerhead Shark** (Sphyrna mokarran) that was reconstructed from multiple cameras arranged around a dive in South Bimini, Bahamas in February 2020.  Casey Sapp coordinated all videography.  Kevin Davidson kindly contributed useful reference photos.

CG artist **Jer Bot** used the software Blender to align these camera views to reconstruct the accurate shape and color of **Nemesis** (PIT tag 900236000107365), which had an estimated length of 329 cm based on laser photogrammetry.  Nemesis commonly frequents dive spots near Bimini and is well-known to divers and scientists from the Bimini shark lab (www.biminisharklab.com).

The **ANGARI Foundation** (www.angari.org) coordinated and supported this research, along with Sean Williams, Ken Morton, Jonathan and Jameson Bayuk, Annabelle Brooks, and Vital Heim.

Nathan Animated 003 - Walking 3D Man

This is a 3D model of a subadult Caribbean Reef Shark (Carcharhinus perezi) that was modeled after a shark swimming underwater with the OceanX and Cape Eleuthera Institute team in January 2019.  Divers captured video of this shark swimming, and artist Robert Gutierrez used Blender and preexisting shark data to recreate this individual.  As this model was recreated from photos and other data, we make no claim that it perfectly reflects an actual shark, but we have strived to be as anatomically correct as possible.

Èze has been described as an “eagle's nest” because of its location overlooking a high cliff 427 metres (1,401 ft) above sea level on the French Mediterranean. It is so high that the light ochre church within (Notre Dame de l’Assomption built in 1764) can be seen from afar. Friedrich Nietzsche stayed in one of the oldest houses of Eze and found inspiration for his third part of "Thus spake Zarathoustra" while climbing to the village by the path. The tavern "Under the Falling Pigeon"

**Amber** as she should have been... I noticed there was a very unfortunate lack of diversity amongst the characters of this amazing game. "**Genshin Impact**"

If you haven't played it yet.. stop reading and get to it.. Imagine **BoTW**  but mobile and with anime chicks instead of link. (Also they aren't grannies in the stamina deptartment..) 

**Nintendo** really screwed their own pooch with that one.. PLUS durability!?!?! O___O 

Not even **Darksouls** did that grabasstic shit. 

(Thankfully **Zelda BoTW** IS the masterpiece it was meant to be on **PC  with emulators** and those terrible affects removed.)

So.. back to Genshin Impact and ARPG done right.. Story.. who knows.. I rarely pay attention to lore but the gameplay is top notch. 

I think your someone special on an epic quest to find others who are also special.. then all together you will do something... special

Truly amazing that this game is free to play... Also brilliant, because they usually earn more overtime than having a pay wall.

This is a 3D model ("Mary") of an adult (curved carapace length 940 mm) female flatback sea turtle (Natator depressus, PIT tag 900119000520197, captured 11/21/17, Thevenard Island, Western Australia) as part of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions' North West Shelf Flatback Turtle Conservation Program (DBCA-NWSFTCP) with Scott Whiting (DBCA), Sabrina Fossette (DBCA) and Adrian Gleiss (Murdoch University). The turtle was photographed on a nesting beach using the Beastcam system and released in good condition. The 3D model was created through a photogrammetry scan using COLMAP and Autodesk REMAKE. Animator Jer Bot used Blender to reconstruct the sea turtle. Credit should be given to the Digital Life project and NWSFTCP: “The author(s) acknowledge the Digital Life project and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions’ North West Shelf Flatback Turtle Conservation Program for creation of the 3D flatback turtle model”.

This model displays a rigged horse (Horse Rig) in a static position. The rig is diverse, and allows intricate control for each of the horse's attributes, this includes the spine, head, arms, legs, tail, as well as intermediate joints of those areas, and other bones. Found in the file, is an 'armature', this is the object responsible for all of the horse's movements, allowing the model to qualify for usage in animation.

The rig can be accessed by moving into ‘pose mode’ and roating or moving the desired armature bone. This will result in corrresponding movement with the bone, allowing it to be very useful for animation, as it can be keyframed, and animated.

The mesh is quite low poly, possessing 5,000 faces, though, with the subdivision surface modifier, the face count is increased. 
More following will corresponsingly lead to more models, so if this one is enjoyed, and liked, there will be more free ones to come.

Horse Rig

This is an animation of subadult male Whale Shark (Individual TZ 209, "Mosi" Rhincodon typus) that was reconstructed from gopro footage based on dives with the shark nearby Mafia Island, Tanzania in November 2022. We thank Chris Rohner and Stephanie Venables for diving with us, and for providing footage and for generally supporting the work.

CG artists Johnson Martin and Aaron Olsen used the software Blender to align various gopro camera views to reconstruc thte body shape of this individual.  "Mosi" has been filmed previously along the Mafia coastline and is well known to divers there.

The Marine Megafauna Foundation (https://marinemegafauna.org/) coordinated and supported this research, and Jon Bayuk kindly supported funded construction of the model and other costs.

This is one of NZ’s largest crabs and the leg span can be 1 metre or more across. King crabs belong to the Family Lithodidae or stone crabs, and a recent study of this group has shown that the New Zealand marine region is a hotspot for lithodid diversity.

King Crab

*Strix varia*, or the barred owl, can be commonly found in dense forests and wooded swamps in southwestern Canada, Washington, Oregon and northern California. The barred owl is, on average 48-51 cm tall, and has a rounded-head with grey-white facial disc. Where many owls have ear tufts, the barred owl does not.

The small serrations on an owl’s primary feathers creates small vortices reducing noise from wind drag to near zero. The silent flight of owls inspired the biomimetic solution to wind noise caused by the Shinkansen Bullet Train as it travels near 350km/h. These serrations also inspired the redesign of  Ziehl-Abegg, Inc’s fan blades, reducing noise and improving energy efficiency. Main goal for this model was to get to the style of manga and anime as close as possible in 3D. It has many shapekeys for facial expressions, fully rigged, custom shaders that closely resembles original (mostly manga) style.
