On festive occasions the gentlemen sat here after dinner, smoking cigars and talking. On regular days, however, this was the family sitting room, where they gathered to drink coffee and play board games in the evenings.

The smoking room is inspired by the [Orient](https://goo.gl/pDNk9v). It was common in the late 19th century to decorate with oriental features and the room is typical for the ideals of the time. The style is associated with [colonialism](https://goo.gl/epxUNw) and militarism and was therefore considered to be appropriate for a room for gentlemen. The walls are clad in silk which was meant to give the room a feeling of an officer's tent.

The Smoking Room

A drink can (or beverage can) is a metal container designed to hold a fixed portion of liquid such as carbonated soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, fruit juices, teas, herbal teas, energy drinks, etc. Drink cans are made of aluminium (75% of worldwide production) or tin-plated steel (25% worldwide production). Worldwide production for all drink cans is approximately 370 billion cans per year worldwide.

After a formal dinner, the ladies would retire to the small drawing room for drinks and conversation. The room was only used on special occasions; normally the doors would have been closed.

The room is based on a 1760s [Rococo](https://goo.gl/Uymjmm) interior at the manor house Äs, one of several country homes that belonged to the Hallwyl family. In the late 19th century, the style was considered feminine, with its soft, curvaceous forms. It was therefore suitable for a ladies’ drawing room or boudoir. 

In a grand home at the turn of the 20th century, rooms were generally gender separated. Some of the interiors were designed for the ladies, and others for men.

Pirene or Peirene is the name of a fountain or spring in Greek mythology, physically located in Corinth. It was said to be a favored watering-hole of Pegasus, sacred to the Muses. Poets would travel there to drink and receive inspiration.

In the 2nd century CE the traveler Pausanias describes Pirene as follows:

On leaving the market-place along the road to Lechaeum you come to a gateway, on which are two gilded chariots, one carrying Phaethon the son of Helius, the other Helius himself. A little farther away from the gateway, on the right as you go in, is a bronze Heracles.

Peirene Fountain, Corinth - Greece

The neon LED sign is acting as an animated texture.  The texture isn't actually animated, but rather it is cycling through several textures and putting the live one in front of the others at the right time.  The frame is just a low-poly blackish material so to be game-ready.

The kanji is: 居酒屋 = Eating/drinking pub “izakaya” (Japanese language)

If you are using this for a game, probably just pick one of the textures if you don't want to animate it.

Music is synthwave generated in FL Studio 12.

The entire model and animation was generated via Python scripting in Blender 2.82.

A large drinking fountain in Victoria Park, London. The Burdett-Coutts memorial fountain was designed by Henry Astley Darbishire in 1862 for the philanthropist Angela Burdett Coutts (1814-1906).

The Drome Bar v3.1

My final assigment for the 3D1 course  at howest DAE.

A russian house inside the Tagia forest. Inside lives a man with a strong passion for drinking. A passion so strong it even influences the animals surrounding him.

I loved making all those cool little props and especially enjoyed making the house and plants and placing them around the scene. There are about 8 little storytelling scenes inside this scene, try finding them all:D 

everything was done in Blender and Photoshop.

DAE Diorama - Forest Loner

The Mil Mi-24 (Russian: Миль Ми-24; NATO reporting name: Hind) is a large helicopter gunship, attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and has been operated since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force and its successors, along with more than 30 other nations.
In NATO circles, the export versions, Mi-25 and Mi-35, are denoted with a letter suffix as "Hind D" and "Hind E". Soviet pilots called the Mi-24 the "flying tank" (летающий танк; letayushchiy tank), a term used historically with the famous World War II Soviet Il-2 Shturmovik armored ground attack aircraft. More common unofficial nicknames were "Crocodile" (Крокодил; Krokodil), due to the helicopter's camouflage scheme and "Drinking Glass" (Стакан; Stakan), because of the flat glass plates that surround earlier Mi-24 variants' cockpits.

Het groepsbeeld is ooit beschilderd geweest en toont man en vrouw zittend op een stoel met leeuwenpoten. Ze lijken te wachten tot ze met spijs en drank worden bediend. De vrouw heeft haar linkerarm teder om haar echtgenoot geslagen. Uit de inscripties weten we dat dit dubbelbeeld Maya en Merit afbeeld. Het stond ooit in het graf in Sakkara en fungeerde daar als voedselontvanger bij de offercultus. Daarnaast diende het beeld als behuizing voor de ka’s, de zielen van de beiden dode, die in het hiernamaals blijvend moesten worden verzorgd met eten en drinken.

Fontaine Wallace

Years ago, a couple got a sweet piece of land and built a japanese style house. Over time, they added two smaller sheds on their property, used to practice their hobbies. The woman loved to brew and drink tea and the man loved gardening.
As time went by.. they grew old together. They had children, and eventually grandchildren. 

Sadly, the man's time came earlier. After he left, grandma did not know what to do, while her deceased husband's flowers began to wither. She didn't have a green thumb, like her significant other. Grandma got a bit superstitious when suddely, a beautiful flower grew next to the shed. She believed that it was her husband, who wanders around the place, wanting to accompany her even after his death. She decided to transform the gardening shed into a worshipping house, together with her family. Grandma came to the shed daily to talk to him. After some time, more and more flowers began to bloom. As if grandpa was really still there, continuing on being besides grandma.

This bowl with an X-shaped handle can be dated to c. 50 BC-200 AD, i.e., [Late Pre-Roman Iron Age or Early Roman Iron Age](https://bit.ly/3vucSEX). It was found in [Gårdby parish](https://bit.ly/3hrP1gS) on the island of Öland. It belongs to a type of fine ware with carefully polished surface and a delicately incised décor. The black surface is a result of firing in a reducing atmosphere, in other words, the oxygen supply has been restricted during the firing. It is made in a style typical for Southern Scandinavia, Northern Germany and Poland. The bowl has probably been used as a drinking vessel at feasts, dinners and during rituals.

In Greek mythology the boy Ganymede was carried up into the sky, to the home of the gods on Olympus to be the gods’ taster. According to legend it was Zeus, in the shape of an eagle, who took the beautiful boy from Phrygia in the north-western part of Asia Minor (Turkey). The effect of Thorvaldsen’s sculpture is created mostly by the contrast between the smooth skin of the boy and his trusting nature, which is juxtaposed by the detailed rendering of the eagle’s feathers, its harsh look and its sharp beak. Ganymede was to take the place of Hebe as the taster of the gods, because she spilled the drink – the nectar – that made the gods immortal. Thorvaldsen modelled the group sculpture in 1817 and it exists in several marble copies.
