This project is inspired by an edited version of a picture from the visual novel
"Suiheisen made Nan Mile? - Deep Blue Sky & Pure White Wings". 
To realize this piece, I began by researching ways and methods of creating cloth with the focus on how to sculpt the wrinkles and find credible material.

The statue of Edward Snowden, called by its creators Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument 2.0, was an ephemeral, illegally-installed public statue of Edward Snowden, an American whistleblower who leaked classified information from the National Security Agency (NSA) and was charged with federal crimes as a result. The bronze-like statue was placed in Fort Greene Park in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York City, on April 6, 2015. It was attached to a Doric column on the perimeter of the park's Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument, a memorial and which honors more than 11,500 American prisoners of war who died in the American Revolution.

The statue was mounted by three anonymous artists and their helpers, who were dressed in white helmets and reflective vests of Parks Department workers, early in the morning of April 6, then covered and taken down by NYC Parks officials later that day.

Inspired by fond childhood memories of watching Star Trek with Mum I decided to have a go at modelling the USS Voyager and pushing my substance painter skills.

Just in case my students ask me, this starship model took over 100 hours to create (30 hours to get good edge flow on the overall shape, another 25 hours on the greebling, details,  windows & flashing lights), 5 hours to uv map efficiently and another 40 hours painting the panels and decals from scratch.
The windows were by far the most painful part - booleans are a pain to fix.

This is my version of hard surface modeling, NO UV mapping for the details. every hull plate, greeble, vent, scratch and dent are meticulously meshed to the surface. and i mean *into* the surface! this whole complicated thing is ONE SHELL. A hermetically sealed one piece 3d printable STL model. Normally this leads to stupidly high poly counts, how ever i managed to keep the thing down to a 12 meg, 251,968 polygon STL file.

This is a pretty darned accurate rendition of the CGI ship as seen in the movie, small liberties were taken in the name of the low poly Gods. the movie model obviously using huge UVs and surface detailing maps.

I made this thing as a public domain project, so unless the movie owners eventual try and copyright the design, not easy as the design is quite closely based on the 50 year old French comic series. she should be free for use.

Die Klause, die bis heute erhalten geblieben ist, ist dem preußischen König Friedrich Wilhelm IV zu verdanken, der durch den preußischen Baumeister Karl-Friedrich von Schinkel ein Grabmal für den blinden Böhmenkönig Johann errichten ließ.

The Kastel hermitage is a state monument in Rhineland-Palatinate and was carved into the sandstone rock face by monks. The origins of the Klause date back to the 13th century and the Crusades. The hermitage, which has been preserved until today, is owed to the Prussian King Frederick William IV, who had the Prussian master builder Karl-Friedrich von Schinkel build a tomb for the blind Bohemian King John.

Tlaloc was a member of the pantheon of gods in Aztec religion. As supreme god of the rain, Tlaloc was also a god of earthly fertility and of water. He was widely worshipped as a beneficent giver of life and sustenance. However, he was also feared for his ability to send hail, thunder, and lightning, and for being the lord of the powerful element of water. Tlaloc is also associated with caves, springs, and mountains, most specifically the sacred mountain in which he was believed to reside. His animal forms include herons and water-dwelling creatures such as amphibians, snails, and possibly sea creatures, particularly shellfish.
