In the United States, a SWAT (special weapons and tactics) team is generic term for a law enforcement unit that uses specialized or military equipment and tactics. Although they were first created in the 1960s to handle riot control or violent confrontations with criminals, the number and usage of SWAT teams increased in the 1980s and 1990s during the War on Drugs and later in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. In the United States as of 2005, SWAT teams were deployed 50,000 times every year, almost 80% of the time to serve search warrants, most often for narcotics.

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB RF; Russian: Федеральная служба безопасности Российской Федерации (ФСБ), is the principal security agency of Russia and the main successor agency to the Soviet Union's KGB ('Committee for State Securityʼ). Its main responsibilities are within the country and include counter-intelligence, internal and border security, counter-terrorism, and surveillance as well as investigating some other types of grave crimes and federal law violations.

Back with another one of my NPR journey milestones.

This is the Character of the Monk class from a rather obscure dungeon crawler game series called "Etrian odyssey" I really love the art style of the Character sprite so I decided to attempt to imitate its art style.

This model took me the longest to make yet, simply because I have to learn a lot of new stuff this time and the rigging is more detailed (I used rigify). I also tried to lower my polygon count as much as I can while still making the character looks good and ended up with around 20k polygon (around 10k if no outline) big improvement from 70k+ I had before.

A private military company (PMC) is a private company providing armed combat or security services for financial gain. PMCs refer to their staff as "security contractors" or "private military contractors".

This reconstuction of Gresham Castle is entirely speculative and is based on evidence from the Paston Letters and other documents of the time. No archaeological evidence is available other than the standing remains of the walls.

The documentary evidence shows that the house was a timber framed building and resembled a typical four bay construction of the period with a central hall and chambers either side.

It is unclear whether the walls and towers belong to the fortifications made by Sir Edmund Bacon or are the result of a major rebuild by the Pastons following the siege of 1448.

Gresham Castle reconstruction

Sculpture of an ox head, found in rue des Hospitalières-Saint-Gervais, in Paris, France. 
There are two of them, on the wall of a school, which used to be a butcher's shop in a market hall. The sculptures were originally fountains, with water pouring out of the ox's muzzle.
They were created in 1819 by Edmée Gaulle. The scultpure is in an ancient assyrian style, and the ox is dressed to by sacrificed.

Gresham castle was built by Sir Edmund Bacon in 1319, but it stood on the site of an earlier castle. It was forty metres square with round corner towers and a surrounding moat. It pass to the ownership of the Paston family who faced considerable argument and armed oppression in seeking to retain it and Margaret Paston recalls in her letters how Lord Moleyns attacked the castle with an overwhelming force and threw her out. The Paston family did eventually recover ownership and a letter of one of the John Paston's suggests he was looking at the possibility of rebuilding what Moleyns' men had knocked down. However, this was not to be and today, under considerable vegetation, only a metre to a metre and a half of the flint walls remain. In stands on private land and is watched by English Heritage. In the course of the Paston Footprints project, a 3D model of the building is being constructed on screen and the drone photography for this image is part of that process.

) which was brought to my attention by the revealing of the now biggest video screen in the world also in Las Vegas ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNO6-d9RGbo ) . Unfortunately I was unable to get rid of a rather annoying seam in some or other aspect of one of the materials.

Old centaur with riding Eros in front of the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. The bronze statue based on Hellenistic model represents the allegory of old age. The statue from 1892 was made by Edmund Hofmann von Aspernburg.

Triton and Naiad fountains by Edmund Paul Andreas Hofmann von Aspernburg from 1890. The total of 4 different fountains form the centers of the four large lawns formed by the main connecting paths of Maria Theresien Square in Vienna.

El 911 Carrera 4 fue el primer 911 con tracción total. Su tracción total permanente con regulación electrónica dirigía normalmente el 31 % del par motor al eje delantero y el 69 % al trasero. Según la situación, la distribución variaba. En la consola central del Carrera 4 había un mando de bloqueo para la tracción. Su motor de 3.6 l tenía una potencia de 250 CV.

1989 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 4

3D scan of a figure holding a crown and wearing jewelry, that is part of the architecture in Hall 6 of NHM Vienna, representing the chemical element Gold (Au). Gold is not only very rare but also one of the softest and heaviest metals and resistant to attack by air, heat, moisture and most solvents. Thanks to these qualities and its warm shine, gold was deemed the most precious of metals. All figures in Hall 6 of the NHM Vienna were created by Edmund Hofmann.
