According to legend the arm of Royal Secretary Olof Sverkersson Elfkarl, in office during the reign of Swedish kings [Johan III](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_III_of_Sweden), [Sigismund](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigismund_III_Vasa) and [Karl IX](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_IX_of_Sweden).

Olof Sverkersson was called Olof Turncoat in many parts of the country and in [Finland](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland) (which was a part of [Sweden](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden) at that time) they called him Olof Perkelson, i.e. Olof Son of the Devil.

The arm was included in the [Skokloster](https://goo.gl/Mspd5w) collection in the 1750’s when a substantial amount of objects were transferred from Salsta manor, previously owned by the [Bielke](https://goo.gl/F78x9L) family, to Skokloster. The arm had been in the Bielke armoury “since time immemorial”.

3D scan of an original fossilized skeleton of a giant deer (*Megaloceros giganteus*) found in Ireland from the Late Pleistocene (ca. 12,000 years old). The males had a shoulder height of around 2.1 meters and their antlers are the largest known in any deer with a width up to 4 meters. The giant deer disappeared around 11,700 years ago in Europe, like many other animals from the Ice Age.

The skeleton of the giant deer can be found in Hall 16 at the NHM Vienna.

Velkhana - Introduction

Velkhana is a traditional dragon with the slim, upright body structure of Elder Dragons like Kushala Daora. Its scales and shell are a unique crystalline blue. Its head has a tiara-like crown of small horns. It summons ice to cover its wings, limbs, and tail. Its thin, lance-like tail is highly flexible and can jab at enemies.

An elder dragon said to freeze all in its path. According to legend, it can control the cold, and use its freezing breath to conjure massive spires of ice out of nowhere.

This is the second 3D model of the 'Great Animal' on Rock 6 at Luine.  The other (Model Luine - Rock 6 (1)), was made from photos taken in July 2025 when viewing conditions were not at all ideal due to the strong overhead sun.  The photos on this model were taken on my second visit in November 2025, when the sun was less intense and striking the carved surfaces at a more oblique angle.  

Rock 6 has over 50 square metres of widely differing carvings from many periods.  The Great Animal is The earliest of the carvings here, and one of the earliest in Valcamonica.  The figure is generally agreed to be an elk, wounded by thrown weapons.  It is thought to date at the latest from the sixth millennium BC - elks became extinct in Valcamonica around this time.  Its collar must be considered a later 'add-on.' There are six other, much less well defined, epipaleolithic animal figures identified on Rock 6 but this example is the most visible.  The other animal figures are mostly elks but one or two may be goats.

Vergulde koperen tafelklok in de vorm van een toren, op een geprofileerde palissanderhouten sokkel rustend op 4 gewelfde en haaksgeplaatste leeuwenpoten. De vierkanten kast is aan elke hoek voorzien van een pilastervormige stijl met lijstwerk en draagt een omlopende attiek, op de hoeken geaccentueerd met een balustermotief. Laatstgenoemd motief herhaalt zich in het lantaarntorentje dat het geheel bekroont. Onder de wijzerplaat van de voorzijde bevindt zich een kleinere kwartierwijzerplaat, aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een wijzerplaat voor het slagwerk en een sterrenkalender. Het slagwerk bestaat uit 2 bellen, de ene onderaan, de andere in het lantaarntorentje. De kast heeft een gegraveerd decor van geometrische bloemenmotieven. Duitse renaissance
