SCP: Unity | SCP-427-1

Not far from the Nuraghe Losa, we find one of the best-known and most fascinating monuments in Sardinia: the well temple of Santa Cristina.  This underground temple certainly represents one of the peaks of nuraghic architectural mastery. It is constructed of perfectly squared stone blocks forming an access stairway leading down into a chamber with corbelled ceiling of exceptionally good workmanship. The water still today reaches the bottom of the chamber, filtering through its walls. Near the meeting hut there are some rooms with square, rectangular and circular ground plans, only the bottom courses of which remain: almost certainly these were lodgings for the priests of the water cult and the pilgrims, but there must also have been small sales stalls for the market held on the occasion of religious celebrations. Bubblegum coarl, Paragorgia arborea, has a fluffy appearance when the feeding polyps are extended. Researchers form MBARI and the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary traveled to Sur Ridge to study the corals and sponges that grow on this fascinating underwater mountain. This model illustrates Dani's description of how Roman pottery was mass produced using a mould with decorations pressed into the mould surface.  Click on the annotations on the model for more information.

In researching this model I visited the British Museum in London to get a closer look at the 'punches' that were used to create the decorative indentations in the mould surface.  I felt sure the surface of the punch must be curved to follow the contour of the mould but wasn't sure if the curve was more pronounced so that the punch would be rocked back and forwards when being pressed into the clay.  The example I saw at the British Museum (Ancient Rome room - display case 26 - see below) showed a punch with a figure on it and a slight convex curve which I think would have matched the surface of the mould.

Emperor Scorpions (*Pandinus imperator*) are among the largest and most iconic scorpions in the world. While their sting is comparable to a bee’s, emperor scorpions play a vital ecological role and are studied for their fluorescent properties under UV light. Their blend of size, strength, and gentleness makes them a fascinating ambassador of the Scorpiones order.

Tarantulas (family Theraphosidae) are large, hairy spiders admired for their size, calm demeanor, and striking appearance. Eccentric Steampunk Aero Alchemist Hat

Hello, all. I am a beginner creator with no real training. I am an aspiring musicologist with a passion for ancient music and instruments. With that interest, I also got an interest in creating some models for ancient/historical woodwind instruments, and I have started with the fascinating double reed, doubled piped instrument from ancient Greece, the aulos.

This was modeled in Blender and Quixel Mixer was used to create the textures. It is considered a work in progress. For one, reeds have not been created for it yet. However, I've been sitting on it for a year now and figured I would share.
