Once the home of [Walther](https://goo.gl/79nUeT) and [Wilhelmina von Hallwyl](https://goo.gl/Y8iiJs).

On festive occasions the gentlemen sat here after dinner, smoking cigars and talking. On regular days, however, this was the family sitting room, where they gathered to drink coffee and play board games in the evenings.

The smoking room is inspired by the [Orient](https://goo.gl/pDNk9v). It was common in the late 19th century to decorate with oriental features and the room is typical for the ideals of the time. The style is associated with [colonialism](https://goo.gl/epxUNw) and militarism and was therefore considered to be appropriate for a room for gentlemen. The walls are clad in silk which was meant to give the room a feeling of an officer's tent.

The Smoking Room

This helmet, with its rather special appearance, is one of the few preserved objects that we know was owned by the Swedish king [Gustav Vasa](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_I_of_Sweden). 

It was made in Germany in 1540, probably in Augsburg or Nuremberg, which were home to some of the most skilled armour makers of the time. The visor, the part that covers the face, did not originally belong to the helmet, but it is thought to be of the same period.

A helmet of this type was made not for battle but for celebratory occasions. In the 16th century, full suits of steel armour were the height of fashion. For parades and other royal festivities, the social elite would dress up in specially-made sets of costume armour with a close helmet. During these celebrations it became popular, in the early 16th century, to wear close helmets with grotesque visors in the form of animal or human faces, like this one, to enhance the festive atmosphere and heighten the sense of theatricality.

Walther and Wilhelmina took their daily meals in The Dining Room as well as when entertaining. They were often three at the table, as the lady's companion Ida Uhse dined with them. On festive occasions the table would be set for more people. The table could be extended and seat about [30 guests](https://goo.gl/Tpf7i2).

The reception rooms are all decorated in the historicist manner, meaning that the rooms are inspired by different historical periods. The Dining Room is decorated in the [Baroque](https://goo.gl/sTMdAC) style. It is a somber style suitable  for formal dinners. 

The walls are panelled in oak with details of [black bog oak](https://goo.gl/G2SLhm).

Historically, Chinese dynasties have always been very large. So they keep trying good management systems to extend the life of the dynasty.

The ancient Chinese understood a truth, "水能载舟,亦能覆舟" means "Water can carry a boat, but it can also overturn it." the water is people.

Therefore, the meaning of Chinese architectural style is stability and solemnity.

"天下太平" Mean "Between the sky and the land all the where,all can peace and stability."

These are festive costumes for the "smol" versions of vtuber talents of Hololive English Myth, that I was commissioned to make for their [2021 VR Chat Christmas party](https://youtu.be/2iXo0YDhoCA)! Amelia said it's fine for me to share these publically, and I think having the models could make people happy, despite their limited use to only the holiday season. (Also it is to stop people from constantly asking me about them since the Halloween outfits were released too)
