Animated Hands (Test)

This model displays a multitude of rigged and textured hand meshes in various hand positions. All parts of the hand mesh are rigged, and therefore able to be animated. 

The rig can be utilised by moving into the 'pose mode', and rotating the desired armature bone. This rotation will correspond to the movement of the part of finger. 
As the fingers have bones attributed to the phalange (phalanx), this makes it very useful for both simple, and complex animations.

The individual hand models are quite high-poly, possesing 70,000 faces, though, as demonstarted on one of the hand models, can be transformed to a low poly model with 5,000 faces using the unsubdivide modifier to a scale of five.

The textures are fully procedural and made by nodes within blender.

More support, will correspondingly lead to more free models, so if this one is enjoyed, and ‘liked’, there will be more free ones to come.

Rigged FPS Arms

Subsurface scattering (SSS) simulates the effect of light scattering inside an object. It is useful for translucent materials like skin, wax, and ice. Rotate the lights with ALT-drag (or three finger drag on mobile) to see this effect change in real-time. This model was made for a college assignement in which a product had to be developed that could benefit people. I chose to create this arm as I belived it to be a feasable piece of technology that could realistically be developed in the near future. Initial ideas such as teleporters and hoover boots were considered to be too unrealsitic. Inspiration for this model came from YouTube and Instagram accounts featuring similar 3D work along with informative videos on the use and function of exisitng prosthetic arms. I wanted to create an arm that maintained the familair human form of an arm with full motions such as an adjustable elbow and five finger movements.

Modelled and animated in Blender.
Textured and baked in Substance Painter.
Set to accurate scale.
Ready for use in a game/animation scene.

Hand Fingers Semi Extended

This prosthetic arm was made in 1904 for a professional pianist – a woman called Elizabeth Burton. The prosthetic arm had padded fingers and a wide span, features that enabled her to keep playing the piano, so that she could still make a living for her family.

Of course, I've cut (as always, lazy me) the high-poly phase and kept it simple and cartoonish (who said Clone Wars?!?). Weapons (and fingers) are exaggerated on purpose to look more heavy and mighty.

A hand i was working on to get the right gesture, scanned first the hand and the palm wrinkles was the first thing that came out fine of 3DF Zephyr but the fingers not so well, at least served as reference for sculpting, modified a couple of finger's from other model's arround internet, modified and get the pose done quickly as I could.

<i>Onychodictyon</i> has a cylindrical body covered in finger-like **papillae** and two rows of oval-shaped **sclerites**, with pairs of soft legs ending in claws. It shared these features with modern onychophorans (velvet worms) and tardigrades (water bears). Onychodictyon was probably a predator that crawled across the sea floor, using its sturdy curved grasping claws to capture prey and climb over objects. The sclerites on its back may have helped to defend against larger predators.
