This is a 3D animation of a Southern Right Whale (Eubalaena australis, Panel C, Fig. 1) which was reconstructed using the open source software Blender 3D (blender.org). Measurements taken from drone videos of right whales (see Christensen et al. 2019) were used to create an ellipsoid that served as a basis for the model. The measurements for height and width of the whale were taken at increments of 5% of the total body length. Reference photos were also used as a guide to create taxonomic features onto the ellipsoid using Blender 3D sculpting tools (primarily the dynamic topology function). These features included the fluke, pectoral fins, eye, and mouth arrangements.

The Glow Whale is a friendly Leviathan-class Organism that lives in the shallow waters of Sector Zero of 4546B. They are large blue whale-like creatures with very large side fins and a fluked tail. They have many barnacles growing on their skin, and they have 2 blue glowing horns. Their mouth is large and can expand itself to become larger snd swallow up its main source of food, groups of small fish. The glow whale also has bioluminescent spots on its body. They will periodically breach the water surface in a spectacular jump, landing back into the water. They also swim in pods, like earth whales.

Glow Whale

Fully textured and rigged model of Jikin goldfish.

Jikin is a specific breed of goldfish originated in Japan.  Most distinct of their feature is the X-shaped caudal (tail) fins, thus also known as peacock tail goldfish.
They also have a standard for their body color of which 50% must be white and with red lips.

I went all out with texturing for this model to give the organic and transparant look that this breed of goldfish has.
I wanted to pull off the look of transparancy around the eyeballs only to find out I can only combine SSS texture with dither or mask opacity mode.   Static picture looks okay but I apologize for the flickering around the eyes during realtime animation.

Jikin goldfish

For my assessment at AIE I was required to design a room in a preexisting game that hasnt been seen while replicating the style and feel of the game also to include a Hero asset as well as other assets. The Hero asset in this scene is of one of the many coffins featured in the game which is scattered throughout and i also sculpted some statues to hold it up. I sculpted the coffin design in Zbrush initially while learning it so there are some slight imperfections and Im just starting to learn how to use Substance Painter.

Bloodborne is generally abondant with assets, texture, lots of statues and candles. The general feel of the game is very dark and gothic with a desaturated pallet and a blueish tinge throughout the whole game to tie it all together. I wanted for the most part to capture the feel of the game because its unique and captivating to be present in its world. It does have an underlining nostalgic feel to it and the idea is that your stuck in a dream. The Hunters dream.

The Hunters Rest

The coffin ensemble of Taditjaina consists of an outer coffin (inventory no. 150a; approx. 76 x 193 x 73 cm) and an inner one (inventory no. 150b; approx. 43 x 173 x 48 cm). They are possibly from the Theban necropolis, and date back to the beginning of the 26th Dynasty (approx. 664–525 B.C.). Both coffins perfectly fit into one another. The two coffins and the mummy of lady Taditjaina were a gift to the Württembergian royal house from the German consul to Alexandria, Mr. von Dumreicher, between 1820 and 1830. They were later given to the University of Tübingen in 1911. The wooden coffins are white stuccoed, and have polychrome scenes, painted red, black, blue, dark green and yellow. The inscriptions of the coffins contain various scenes and texts from the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead—a guide for the afterlife. The texts should guarantee the continued existence and provision of Taditjaina, the lady of the house, the noble one, in the Netherworld.

Coffin Ensemble of Taditjaina

This is an feeding animation of a subadult male Manta Ray (“Skye” Mobula c.f. birostris, disk width of 2.5 m) that was reconstructed from a combination of drone, gopro, and other video imagery and morphometric data.  Note the twisting of the cephalic fins, which are used during feeding. Skye was filmed primarily while swimming off the coast of Palm beach, Florida.  Jessica Pate and her team with the Marine Megafauna Foundation (www.marinemegafauna.org) were instrumental for filming Skye and providing access to other data on Manta Rays.  The ANGARI Foundation (www.angari.org) and Angela Rosenberg coordinated and supported this research.  Jonathan Bayuk and Ken Morton kindly donated funding to enable this research.  CG artist Johnson Martin used the data provided to reconstruct and animate the model.

Model 84A - Manta Ray Feeding

Cuween Hill Chambered Cairn, near Finstown, Mainland, Orkney, is a late Neolithic (c.3200-2300 BC) 'Maes Howe'-type tomb.  The tomb is located on the side of the hill and the floor is cut into sandstone bedrock.  The chambers are constructed from fine dry-stone walling with corbelled roofs.  The mound measures c.55 feet in diameter and the main chamber is 8 feet 6 inches tall.

The tomb was partly excavated by James Cursiter in 1888 and more extensively investigated by Malcolm M. Charleston in 1901.  The tomb contained at least 8 burials and the skulls of 24 dogs.  The latter may have been a totemic animal, but they were probably deposited in the Bronze Age rather than the Neolithic.  The tomb sites above the Neolithic settlement site of Stonehall, which was excavated by Prof Colin Richards in the 1990s.

Wooden Coffins (Free)

This 3D model represents a freshwater fish species. The fish is depicted in a swimming pose with its body slightly curved, as if it is moving through the water. The model captures the distinctive features of the rainbow trout, including its silver skin with black spots, pinkish-red stripe along its lateral line

**Geometry and Texture:** The 3D model is created with clean and efficient geometry, with a moderate level of detail. The model is UV mapped and textured with high-resolution textures to add realistic details to the skin and fins. The rainbow trout's scales, spots, and lateral line are carefully textured to create a natural and realistic appearance.

**Formats:** The model is available in **FBX** file format. It can be easily imported into most 3D software packages, making it a versatile asset for game development, animation, or visualization projects.

Redcap Oranda as the name suggests is a breed of goldfish with silver body and red wen which resembles a cap attached to its head.  Known as Tancho goldfish in Japan, this breed and rest of Oranda goldfishes actually have nothing to do with the country of Netherlands (Holland, where the word Oranda came from).

So I wanted to show off the long transparent fins, resulting in the rear view sexy shot for thumbnail.  Please spin it around to also see its cute wen covered face!

Goldfish Scene 1:  Aka to Kuro

The lily paddler is a creature that lives in sector zero in the lilypsd islands. It passively swims around, but when faced with a threat, it shows its top fins to disorient the attacker and flee, not unlike the mesmer (except that the mesmer bites the player).

The Squidshark is a large predator that lives in Sector Zero of 4546B. It has a resemblance to bith a shark and a squid, with its streamlined body and tentacled mouth, which hides an extendableinner jaw. The large fins are flexible and are very long compared to the body. It has 2 blue translucent tentacles on its bottom side, which it can use to whip prey. These tentacles are also electrically charged, and are capable of quickly sapping energy from a vehicle for small amounts of time to subdue it. The squidshark also has 2 jets on its side behind its eyes. It also has 2 dorsal fins. It is aggressive and will attack the player.

The Void Chelicerate is a subspecies of the striking red Chelicerate in other biomes of Sector Zero of 4546B. This subspecies has gotten much larger, more aggressive, and other changes. One of these changes is how the Void Chelicerate has these orange eyes and a pale white carapace, with patches of what seem to be scars, infected tissue, or something else of the sort. The mandibles are also more green than black, and the transparent fins are also light blue. They can be found in the Void that surrounds the entierity of Sector Zero, like the one at The Crater.
