Urban heat, pollution, noise, overcrowding are the plight of high density cities. Yet, density in metropolitan areas is also a solution to reduce urban footprint and mobility. High quality public space could make high-density cities a garden of paradise for human and non-human life. This manipulated point cloud model is an absurd, yet tempting reimagination of the streets around Niemeyer's Edifício Copan in Sao Paulo. Instead of busy road traffic, the buildings are immersed in an utopian urban park. In the face of increasing environmental pressures, this type of urban acclimatization landscape is set to become an imperative to ensure urban resilience.

Gresham castle was built by Sir Edmund Bacon in 1319, but it stood on the site of an earlier castle. It was forty metres square with round corner towers and a surrounding moat. It pass to the ownership of the Paston family who faced considerable argument and armed oppression in seeking to retain it and Margaret Paston recalls in her letters how Lord Moleyns attacked the castle with an overwhelming force and threw her out. The Paston family did eventually recover ownership and a letter of one of the John Paston's suggests he was looking at the possibility of rebuilding what Moleyns' men had knocked down. However, this was not to be and today, under considerable vegetation, only a metre to a metre and a half of the flint walls remain. In stands on private land and is watched by English Heritage. In the course of the Paston Footprints project, a 3D model of the building is being constructed on screen and the drone photography for this image is part of that process.

Dinosaur Quarry of Altamura is an area of scientific interest located in the countryside of the city of Altamura, Italy, where about 4000 footprints of dinosaurs have been found.

A raised section of mud on Hoylake beach, perhaps one day we will see a dried section with neolithic footprints a la Formby Point.

Rock 6 at Foppe di Nadro has a glacier-smoothed surface and, with around one thousand figures, is one of the most densely engraved rocks in this area.  The figures mostly date from the middle to late Iron Age.

It is possible to see all the classical themes of the Camunian rock cycle: footprints (single, coupled and some with internal decoration), human figures (warriors predominating), buildings, weapons, animals and a number of geometric symbols (such as the five-pointed star).

The small section of this rock surface represented in the 3D model presnts one of the most well-known scenes of Valcamonica rock art: two pairs of fighters.  These are of the Naturalistic Period (around 500-300 BC). The fighters are realistically represented in a dynamic posture. One couple fighting with short swords, shields and crested helms, the other engaged in a boxing match.

The group of figures below are in a simpler, more geometric form.  They look cruder but are later, around 1st century BC.

Valcamonica - Foppe di Nadro, Rock 6

Bigfoot, or Sasquatch, is a legendary cryptid creature, described as a giant, hairy primate that supposedly inhabits the forests of northwestern North America. Described as bipedal, with a footprint of 38 to 45 cm and nocturnal behavior, sightings have persisted since the 19th century, although without definitive scientific proof.

Unfortunately, this model has not turned out well as the photos must have had to have been shot at distance,  from the walkway.

It shows the image of 'a great horse, horseman and squire.'  It is one of many middle to late Iron-Age engravings on the rock - fighting warriors, dogs, deer, footprints, five pointed stars and other symbols.  

The horse was an important status symbol during the Iron Age.  This small grouping may also underline the clear distinction of social roles between the horseman (perhaps a local 'prince') armed with a shield & spear, and the squire, who holds the rider's second spear and leads the horse on foot.

This is quite a well known little cameo from the rock art of Valcamonica.  I've got to admit that I find it a little comical as the animal seems to closely resemble a pantomome horse.  Hopefully, on my next visit to Valcamonica I will manage to obtain a better sequence of photographs on of it.

Beyond standard data visualization: this is a crystallized financial market.
This model is the exact 3D topological footprint of the Bitcoin market in Sept 2017, generated via the Polytopic Archetypal Projection Protocol (PAPP).
The Origin (Oracle Mode): Real market data (Close/Open, High/Low, Volume) from that highly volatile month was extracted and converted into a 4-dimensional integer seed.
The algorithm doesn't simply "draw" a chart. It uses these financial signals to drive an algebraic cascade, mapping the data onto a Fibonacci lattice in a 4D hypersphere ($S^3$).
The space is then collapsed into 3D via a Hopf fibration ($S^3 \rightarrow S^2$), mathematically guaranteeing a closed spherical topology ($\chi=2$).
The Result: The turbulence and price crashes of that infamous Sept have been transmuted into pure geometric density.
Financial fluctuations forced the algorithm to create structural hotspots of topological hyper-connectivity.
This is the unique spatial signature of that historical timeframe.

Included within this free download is the core inner or how we like to refer to them "Blanks" that can be "skinned" with the textured walls, windows and stairs, allowing you complete freedom with the design of your builds. Walls are 66mm tall for a full size, allowing even heroic sized minis to fit within the footprint of a level, and provide a sense of gravitas with fewer parts. These pieces fit either directly to the Grid frames (in the case of the stairs) or interface to a floor tile with the pegs and relevant cut out for the piece. The covers for the walls, windows or archways, then easily slide into place.
