“This form of the bodhisattva presides over his own paradise, Potolaka, which is described in scripture as a rugged seaside cave from which Avalokiteshvara could admire the reflection of the moon in the water. Appropriately, he appears meditative and relaxed and is seated informally in the “royal-ease” posture...Believers might look to a sculpture like this as a guide for their own journeys toward enlightenment.”

**Welcome to [The Hallwyl Museum](https://goo.gl/qbZSY4) in Stockholm, Sweden.**

Once the home of [Walther](https://goo.gl/79nUeT) and [Wilhelmina von Hallwyl](https://goo.gl/Y8iiJs).

Walther and Wilhelmina took their daily meals in The Dining Room as well as when entertaining. They were often three at the table, as the lady's companion Ida Uhse dined with them. On festive occasions the table would be set for more people. The table could be extended and seat about [30 guests](https://goo.gl/Tpf7i2).

The reception rooms are all decorated in the historicist manner, meaning that the rooms are inspired by different historical periods. The Dining Room is decorated in the [Baroque](https://goo.gl/sTMdAC) style. It is a somber style suitable  for formal dinners. 

The walls are panelled in oak with details of [black bog oak](https://goo.gl/G2SLhm).

The Dining Room

**Welcome to [The Hallwyl Museum](https://hallwylskamuseet.se/en/) in Stockholm, Sweden.**

Once the home of [Walther](https://goo.gl/79nUeT) and [Wilhelmina von Hallwyl](https://goo.gl/Y8iiJs).

After a formal dinner, the ladies would retire to the small drawing room for drinks and conversation. The room was only used on special occasions; normally the doors would have been closed.

The room is based on a 1760s [Rococo](https://goo.gl/Uymjmm) interior at the manor house Äs, one of several country homes that belonged to the Hallwyl family. In the late 19th century, the style was considered feminine, with its soft, curvaceous forms. It was therefore suitable for a ladies’ drawing room or boudoir. 

In a grand home at the turn of the 20th century, rooms were generally gender separated. Some of the interiors were designed for the ladies, and others for men.

The Tiger II is a German heavy tank of the Second World War. The final official German designation was Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, often shortened to Tiger B. The ordnance inventory designation was Sd.Kfz. 182. (Sd.Kfz. 267 and 268 for command vehicles). It was known as King Tiger by Allied soldiers, and is also known under the informal name Königstiger (the German name for the Bengal tiger which translates literally as Royal Tiger).

The Chrysler Saratoga is an automobile built by Chrysler. The nameplate was used from 1939 to 1952 and from 1957 to 1960 in the U.S. market, in Canada through 1965, and in Europe from 1989 to 1995. In the beginning, it was introduced as a sport luxury model, using the Straight Eight engine from the Chrysler New Yorker which was more formal, and the Imperial which had graduated to special order limousine.

It was named for Saratoga Springs, New York, and is home to the Saratoga Race Course, a thoroughbred horse racing track.

The Saratoga was introduced one year after the luxurious New Yorker and was well equipped, wearing the Chrysler nameplate. It was initially more expensive than the New Yorker, then marketing changes repositioned the Saratoga more modestly as the Imperial took the top of the Chrysler hierarchy followed by the New Yorker.

The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is a fifth-generation, single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather stealth tactical fighter aircraft developed for the United States Air Force (USAF). The result of the USAF's Advanced Tactical Fighter program, the aircraft was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but also has ground attack, electronic warfare, and signal intelligence capabilities. Carp are a large group of fish originally found in Central Europe and Asia. Various carp species were originally domesticated in East Asia, where they were used as food fish. Carp are coldwater fish, and their ability to survive and adapt to many climates and water conditions allowed the domesticated species to be propagated to many new locations, including Japan.

The outside world was unaware of the development of color variations in Japanese koi until 1914 when the Niigata koi were exhibited at an annual exposition in Tokyo.   

Koi or more specifically nishikigoi, are colored varieties of the Amur carp that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor koi ponds or water gardens. Koi is an informal name for the colored variants of C. rubrofuscus kept for ornamental purposes.

Free Pack - Human Skull

3D scan of a Southern stout-legged moa (*Euryapteryx curtus gravis*) skeleton from the Holocene. Moas are extinct birds that lived on New Zealand. This skeleton was donated to the museum by Dr. Julius Ritter von Haast in 1884. 

This specific skeleton is housed backstage, but complete skeletons of both a southern giant moa (*Dinornis robustus*, formally called *Dinornis maximus*) and another stout-legged moa are number 77 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 30 of the NHM Vienna. Three more skeletons of different moa species are on display in the Ice Age (Eiszeit) corridor.

In the oral traditions of Chile’s coastal regions, particularly among Mapuche communities, there exists a long-whispered legend of ghostly beings that walk the shores before and during catastrophes. These entities had no formal name for centuries - only described in fragments and murmurs passed from survivor to survivor.

It wasn’t until the 27F Earthquake in 2010 that a term gained traction: “Muru”, a word meaning complaint or warning in Mapudungun. A nivel formal la boca es circular y tiene un diámetro de 10cm. Presenta un labio redondeado en un borde entrante que conecta directaamente con el cuerpo. Este presenta una forma redondeada donde se observan distintas acanaladuras en la parte superior. La base es convexa y tiene un diámetro de 12cm. Presenta un asa completa y el arranque de otras tres. De la que se conserva podemos ver que arranca en la base y se asdosa al cuerpo bajo el borde. Ha sido pegada a la pieza a excepción de la parte superior donde permite el agarre.
