Once the home of [Walther](https://goo.gl/79nUeT) and [Wilhelmina von Hallwyl](https://goo.gl/Y8iiJs).

On festive occasions the gentlemen sat here after dinner, smoking cigars and talking. On regular days, however, this was the family sitting room, where they gathered to drink coffee and play board games in the evenings.

The smoking room is inspired by the [Orient](https://goo.gl/pDNk9v). It was common in the late 19th century to decorate with oriental features and the room is typical for the ideals of the time. The style is associated with [colonialism](https://goo.gl/epxUNw) and militarism and was therefore considered to be appropriate for a room for gentlemen. The walls are clad in silk which was meant to give the room a feeling of an officer's tent.

The Smoking Room

**Welcome to [The Hallwyl Museum](https://hallwylskamuseet.se/en/) in Stockholm, Sweden.**

This was intended as a room for socialising for gentlemen. Those who did not participate in the game could watch from the wall-mounted bench.

The Billiards Room, like [The Dining Room](https://skfb.ly/6uLDI), is done in  a style between [Renaissance](https://goo.gl/9XS59E) and early [Baroque](https://goo.gl/BVsvH2). Note that the windows in both rooms are made up from round antique [lights that have been framed in lead](https://goo.gl/G86YdL).

2019 Ferrari Monza SP2

An older highlander woman with sharp features looks at us from the bust, with a face marked by the hardships of life, and yet with a strong and noble appearance at the same time. This hard, experienced, yet gentle woman was depicted with great care and diligence, as well as perceptible tenderness in approaching the model. It is not surprising, as the sculpture portrays the mother of the artist – Teresa Gąsienica Brzega, a simple highlander, a woman who had raised her four children on her own in the difficult times of the poverty prevailing in Podhale.

An abandoned pub on Little Somerset Street, Aldgate, London. This pub will soon be demolished to make way for an office development and potentially rebuilt nearby.

Animated Blue Whale

Emperor Scorpions (*Pandinus imperator*) are among the largest and most iconic scorpions in the world. Tarantulas (family Theraphosidae) are large, hairy spiders admired for their size, calm demeanor, and striking appearance. Found across the Americas, Africa, and Asia, they inhabit deserts, rainforests, and grasslands. Despite their fearsome look, most tarantulas are docile and pose little threat to humans.

These nocturnal hunters rely on stealth and strength to ambush prey, using their fangs to inject venom and digestive enzymes. They don’t spin webs to catch food but do use silk to line burrows or create egg sacs.

Tarantulas are popular in the exotic pet trade due to their manageable behavior and fascinating biology. With proper care and respect, tarantulas reveal the gentle side of these often-misunderstood arachnids.
